Thu: Where do you like to travel during holiday?
Thuong: i like to travel aboard but it can be expensive, so i usually plan affordable travel.
Travelling to holiday destinations when it is out of season saves a lot of money.
Thu: Yeah, out of season travel is the best way to avoid places that are swarming with
tourists. So Do you prefer packaging tours or doing it yourself tours?
Thuong: I prefer do it myself. I can actively schedule at any time, choose to go to my
favorite places, can flexibly change destinations without being dependent on anyone. I
can choose any restaurants and accommodation that suits my budget.
Thu: Ehmm.. it’s not for me, since I'm a work-shy person, so I don't want to spend time
planning a trip. Pakaging tour will save time looking for places, food, accomodation and
transportation. I will have more experience and knowledge of the place I visit through a
tour guide. On the whole, all services will be arranged by the travel agency.
Thuong: I agree up to a point, but Tours often have to go with many people, I need
privacy so I don't want to have too many strangers on my trip. sometimes places or food
is not as good as i expected. Tours usually have fixed locations and times so I feel
constrained.
Thu: I know what you mean. Anyway, Self-guided travel is also risky, I don't have much
travel experience so I'm afraid of getting lost or suffer from tourist trap.
Thuong: Okay. So What means of transport do you want to travel by?
Thu: I have carsick and airsick so I want to go by train. In spite of time consuming, I was
able to enjoy the scenery along the way during the journey. In addition, traveling by train
also avoids the risk of traffic jams and accidents.

Thuong: That’s so true. I also always struggle with travelsick. but I still travel by coach.
I've never been on a plane or train but I considered the fare is less expensive than other
means. I also use many methods to against travelsick. But it is easy to cram and squeeze
guests in the peak seasons.
Thu: I think you should try taking the train once. I am sure you will have a pleasant
experience. Next, How about accomodation ?
Thuong: The hotel is a great place to stay. Although the price is pretty high, you will
experience the best services from dining, bedrooms, luxurious space and attentive
service. Have you got any thoughts on that?
Thu: When traveling, I always want to get back to nature, and homestay gives me a
feeling of tranquil rather than a luxury hotel. The prices are affordable and I have many
opportunities to enjoy the local speciality and meeting new friends. Homestay guests live
together like a local family, which makes me feel familiar and cozy
Thuong: that’s a good idea, it’s sounds peaceful. Who do you want to spend your holiday
with? Your beloved ones or yourself
Thu: To be honest, i want to spend time to myself. I always live with my family so
travelling alone is the oppoturnity to self-contemplation , to get away from it all and let
my hair down. When travel on my own, i can definitely more flexible with time, next
destination and decisions i make.
Thuong: it seems lonely to me. Traveling alone is likely to have many risks such as
astray, when having problem, it is difficult to find someone to help. Traveling with
relatives makes me feel safer. It is also a good time to be with loved ones and bring
everyone in the family together.
Thu: I think traveling with loved ones is also a meaningful experience, I want to do that.
It's just that sometimes I want to travel to a middle of nowhere alone to escape the daily
routine and to heal my soul. I mean both of them are amazing .
Thuong: No matter who we choose to travel with or the manners, I believe it will bring
the best experience for us.
Thu: I see, What are your plans for the upcoming holiday?
Thuong: I’m thinking of traveling to Da Nanng. However, I haven’t made up my mind
yet.
Thu: I'll probably spend the whole day lying in the bed and watching movies.

Thu: What are your plans for the upcoming holiday?

Thuong: : I’m thinking of traveling to Da Nanng. I invited a few friends but they were all
busy, so I decided to cancel.
Thu: How important is a companion? If you want to travel then go for it. Traveling alone
is a new and wonderful experience. When you travel on your own, you can definitely
more flexible with time, next destination and decisions you make. Moreover, it's also a
challenge to overcome yourself and discover new things.
Thuong: I’m a gullible person, so I’m very afraid of being scammed or astray and don’t
know what to do. In addition, I will be tedious when there’s no one on my side. So it’s
better to have a companion.
Thu: you should try stepping out of your comfort zone for once. Maybe you’ll find it
interesting.
Thuong: i’ll give it a try. Do you think it is important to choose a destination when
traveling?
Thu: I like to travel on a whim so I don't think a particular destination is too important. I
like novelty, I want to go to places that come up in my head. it can be an adventurous
experience but also very refreshing. And I want to make it different from the usual
settings.
Thuong: I think it might be better to choose a good destination. You’ll have a relaxing
and fulfilling trip. I usually find out the information about places i want to go and then
make a plan. If you go to a places you don’t know in advance, you might feel
disappointed.
Thu: That's why I said it was an adventurous experience. but i take delight in it. So how
about transport?
Thuong: Despite car sickness, chóoing a means of transportation is not too important to
me since i always take medicines. For me, as long as the vehicle has a comfortable seat
so that I can relax during the long journey, it’s fine
Thu: The same to you. So every time I travel, I have to hesitate. I always want to go by
motorbike, because it is the most comfortable means of transport for me. Another option
is the train, I pretty like taking the train because I can enjoy the scenery during the
journey but it is a bit shaky and noisy. I will think very carefully about planes, cars and
coaches, sometimes I decide to cancel a trip just because I can't choose the right vehicle.
Thuong: What a pity for the carsick people. that negatively affects the mood and holiday.
Do you think personal possesstions are important when traveling?
Thu: I suppose that it's extremely important. Although there's a lot you can buy, wearing
all your personal stuff will mitigate risks and minimize cost overrun. Identity papers,
phone and passports are things that shouldnt forgotten as it is the most important thing.
Thuong: That seems obvious, but people who do not have travel experience like me often
feel quite confused in the preparation. I didn't bring anything except my ID. Most of the
necessary items can be easily purchased or prepared at motels or hotels.
Thu: It seems that many problems can be solved with money. So do you think finance is
the most important?
Thuong: Absolutely! Having financial means you can handle all expenses of eating,
transportation and accommodation. If you are a wealthy person, you don't have to worry
about how to spend reasonably.
Thu: You are right. I consent of both hands. Money determines many things. Without
finance, we cannot even start a trip. If I have money to burn, I can go anywhere I want
without worrying about the price.
Thuong: So then, what do you think is the best one?
Thu: Certainly financial and money. I can talk about it all day without getting bored.
Thuong: You are a practical person. We are both in favor of finance.
