A landmark is an object or a feature of a landscape or town that has
importance or makes a place easily recognizable. Landmarks will often
have a sign with information explaining their importance.

The following are the landmarks in Angeles City:
Holy Rosary Parish Church that was
constructed from 1877 to 1896.

Apung Mamacalulu Shrine


Apung Mamacalulu, which translates to
“Merciful Lord”, is a statue that depicts the
burial of Jesus Christ. Hundreds of devotees of
the statue gather in the shrine every Friday to
hear the special Holy Mass celebrated there.

Salakot Arch (Astro Park). This place is a


favorite spot for various sports and
recreational activities. It is also called Salakot
Arch. Salakot means a traditional wide-
brimmed hat from the Philippines.

Pamintuan Mansion
Philippine Flag was waved for the first anniversary of
Philippine Independence.

Bale Matua (Old House)


Probably the oldest building in Angeles City, it
was built in 1824.

Museo Ning Angeles (Angeles City Museum)


This building was constructed in 1922 along Sto.
Rosario Street served as municipal town hall up
to 1998 and has become a venue for the city's
cultural activities.

Camalig Restaurant
Constructed by Don Ciriaco de Miranda, the first
governor of Angeles City, as a grain storehouse
in 1840. It was restored in 1980 as Armando's
Pizza and the Historic Camalig Restaurant.

Diosdado Macapagal International Airport


Now named Clark International Airport,
located in Clark Freeport Zone, formerly Clark
Air Base, a military airbase of the United
States of America which was abandoned at
the height of Mount Pinatubo volcanic
eruption in 1991.
