A day in the life….

A day in the life series is recruitment activity that promotes careers in specific areas. The focus will not be on a
particular subject but introduce prospective students to a the role of an industry specialist. Students will gain an
understanding of the type of work the specialist does, the overlap and transferable nature of the world of work and
how a UG degree can open many doors and career paths. In line with careers IAG in schools and colleges, this
programme will align with Gatsby Benchmarks 5, 6 and 7

Based on feedback from schools and colleges, a hybrid offer is proposed:

 1-2 in person sessions depending on the preference of Faculties. SCE will be responsible for inviting and
coordinating visits from schools and colleges. The same session will be delivered twice on one selected day
by Faculty colleagues. This will be a longer session of 2.5 hours
 1-2 online sessions webinar series to run in July. This will need to showcase our facilities and some pre-
recorded footage which can form an overlay as part of the webinar. There is potential to roll this out as a
webinar series in September/ October if successful. This will be a shorter session of 45 minutes only.

In-Person - (week commencing 3rd July or 10th July)

The proposed In-Person sessions are as below. This is based on the most popular choices from feedback from schools
and colleges, as well as Faculty feedback.
