III. PROCEDURE

A. Preliminary
Activities

1. Prayer In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Ginoo salamat karung adlawa, hinaut na

2. Checking of “Attendance Check Song”

3. Checking of the - The teacher will ask the learner, when they go to school, what do they notice about the weather?

Activities

Review Rank the Events (Guessing Game)

Let the learners choose the correct sequence of events given by ranking them from 1-3.

C. Motivation Chikading (Pagdagdag ng Bilang) Song

- Let the learners sing and dance to the song.

- The teacher will ask them motivating questions and will show a picture of the farm.

3. What animals have you seen on the farm?

- The learners will have different answers.

D. Activity - The teacher will let the learners do the “Counting Fingers Jack and Poy Games”. She will prepare a model
animal farm.

"Counting Fingers" Jack and Poy: Have the learners pair up and play "Counting Fingers" Jack and Poy. On the
count of three, each learner puts out a certain number of fingers on one hand (between 1 and 5). The child with the
higher number wins the round.

For example, if one child puts out 2 fingers and the other child puts out 3 fingers. The child with 3 fingers wins
the round. Whoever the group win will the one who guess and count first the objects and will identify the correct
number using the number card. If they count it right, they will get prizes by the teacher.

E. Analysis - The teacher will ask the following questions base on the activity.
1. How many cows are there?

2. How many dogs are there?

3. How many goats are there?

4. How many chickens are there?

5. Where can we see the chickens, cows, dogs, goatS?

5. Do we need to give food to the animals? Why?

F. Abstraction - The teacher will discuss and ask the leaners how they come up the correct answer on the activity.

- The teacher will further more explain the topic in utilizing animals from the farm as objects in rote counting to 5,
as well as to introduce addition and its significance.

- The teacher will ask why is addition important to our everyday life?

- The teacher will ask the learners to count, add and encircle the correct answer.

Group Activity

APPLICATION Game: "Addition Machine"

Objective: To practice adding numbers up to 5.

Materials:

 2 sets of number (1-5)


 A game board
 2 hollow cylindrical shapes
 Scissor, color paper, glue
 Writing pad, pen marker
 Small objects to use as counters (marbles)

Instructions:

1. Put the number into the two hollow cylindrical shapes in the center of the game board.
2. The teacher will put two numbers placing them in the "Addend 1" and "Addend 2" of the 2 hollow
cylindrical shapes.
3. The players use the counters to represent the two addends and then count and write how many counters
there are in total.
4. The group with the correct sum earns a point.
