 During the positioning of platform from slab edge, anchorage
point should be ensured by using a jack horizontally where
workers can anchore their harness when working close to the
slab edge to prevent fall
 Permit to work should be ensured prior installation/dismantling
of platform
 Ensure that the civil structure is complete and area of installation
is cleared for receiving of all materials
 Make sure all erection team are available at site and ready for
installation. HSE induction and pre start briefing should be given
to the erection team.
 Chain adjustment to tilt platform 30 degress forward when
raising into position due to possible swing when lifting
 Platform should be held stationary with tower crane during the
fixing process and adjusted to its designated location, according
to the approved drawing
 Ensure 5 meters part of the platform will rest on the floor slab,
5meters part will be projected and 12 to 15 props to be fixed on
both sides of the platform up to the slab soffit
 Ensure U-head to be used to hold the soldier beam at top of the
jack which will support the slab
 Approved drawing showing all the fixing and installation details
should be followed
 Cross bracings should be provided to support the jacks at the
top
 Tower crane to release the platform once all props are provided
and ensured that it will be tightened
 Hand rail/Mid rail to be providedb for the projected portion of the
platform with means to protect materils from falling (Toe Board)
 All the installation procedure to be carried out under qualified
supervisor and strict safety regulations
