PROJECT ENGINEER

Job Scope :-

• Providing input to the establishment of the project execution plan. To include definition on
project objectives and strategies, work scope, risk management, overall work plan and schedule,
commercial plan, quality and safety requirements etc.

• Ensuring the plan executions are consistent with the terms of the respective contract and Bintang
Subsea project execution plan mandatory contents.

• Administering the contract agreements between Bintang Subsea and its subcontractors whereby
Bintang Subsea and Client interests are protected and costs are managed.

• Maintain close contact with respective Clients throughout the project to ensure satisfactory
reaction to client’s needs or criticisms.

• Monitor and control the project performance against budget, schedule, and quality and safety
requirements using appropriate control tools and reporting of same to Bintang Subsea
Management and Client.

• Identify changes in the scope or work and ensuring that appropriate change requests are current
and adequate.

• Manage multi-discipline engineering teams in the delivery of scopes through regular progress
meeting and by facilitation where multi-discipline issues require discussion and resolution.

• Promote quality and safety on the project.

• Issue directions for job close-out and the securing of the final project acceptance and contract
release from client.

• Ensuring the realisation of company and project health, safety, environmental, quality and ethics,
systems, policies and procedures.

• To co-ordinate activity with other members of the operations team in a mutually helpful way as
well as other relevant departments within the organisation.

• Required to travel and oversee project mobilisation at various locations.

• Perform engineering calculations related to vessel and subsea engineering.

• Perform any ad hoc task from time to time as and when requested by the Superior/ BSV
Management.

Requirements :-

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree/ Post Graduate in Engineering field.

Experience :-
Minimum 4 years of experience in similar position and oil & gas industries.

1. Malaysian Nationality

2. Able to lead teams by example, and set high standards of honesty and integrity amongst staff.

3. Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

4. Strong command of English.

5. Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.

6. Effective communications skills, including writing and speaking.

7. Good judgment and decision maker.

8. Quality control and analysis skills.

9. Be a team player with good communication skills.

10. Good leadership skills and cross culture sensitivity.

11. Extensive experience with resources used for subsea project execution (ROV, Diving, Survey,
Vessel, Tools, Audits).

12. Being exposed with T&I and IRM work.

13. Familiar with AutoCAD software, preferably with additional basic 3D design.
