CHAPTER I Introduction
TOPIC: Define and elaborate the researcher’s topic in paragraph form, give example that will clarify your chosen subject matter.

IMPORTANCE: Explain the relevance of the topic in the everyday life of the individuals that will be benefiting from your
research.

REASONS FOR CHOOSING YOUR TOPIC: Justify researcher’s desire in choosing the topic by emphasizing on the
motivation that led them to choosing the topic.

PURPOSE: To end the introduction use another paragraph to discuss the objectives of the research.

Background of the Study Consists of statement on how the researcher was led in conducting the study. Describe the problem as
clearly as possible. Researcher may quote from literatures related to the topic.

Statement of the Problem This study aims to determine (research problem/title). Specific questions that the researcher
aims to answer are as follows; (arrange questions in order of importance)1. State a general question to be answered by your
research.2. State a general question to be answered by your research.3. State a general question to be answered by your research.

Theoretical Framework This is the foundation of the research study. The researcher must look for at least one reliable theory that
will serve as the backbone of the research and support for the investigation and observation of the problem being researched.
This theory must be aligned to what the researcher is trying to find out in the study. Examples; (Cognitive Learning
Theories, Behaviorism Theories, Constructivism Theories, Humanism Theories, and Connectivism Theories)

Conceptual Framework

INPUT PROCESS OUTPUT

Hypothesis: The
position of this study will prove that there is no significant relationship between(independent and dependent variable)

Scope and Limitations: The scope and limitations should include the ff. Short discussion of the general purpose of the study.
Include here the problem and the result of the data that the researcher collected. Example: Unwanted Pregnancy, Computer
Addiction , Absenteeism
Specific subject matter and topics discussed.
The locale of the study, where the data will be gathered and the research will take place.
The number of respondents that will represent the whole population.
The period of the study. (time, date, year) during which the study was conducted

Significance of the Study

The researcher must discuss here the benefits of the research to the community. Example:
Students: what will students get from the research paper?
Teachers: what will teachers get from the research paper?
School Administration: what will the school administration get from the research paper? Etc…

Definition of Terms
This part of the research is a dictionary where terms should be defined operationally. Meaning, the words should be described in
the way the researcher used it in the research paper.
Example:
Control Group – the specific group separated from the rest of the research
Guardian – A person who is authorized under applicable state or local law to give permission on behalf of a child for general care

CHAPTER II Related Literature

Before starting the review in this chapter, write a short introduction about the collected literatures and its function to this research
paper. Related literature provides an overview of previous researches on knowledge sharing. It introduces the basis for the
research paper that contains the main focus of the researcher’s study described in this research paper. This chapter may consist of
simply a summary of main points from journals, articles, previous researches, electronic sources, etc. It usually has an
organizational pattern that are arranged in sub-topic often within specific conceptual categories. Especially if your topic is broad,
like in university performance, it makes sense to break down your discussion by topics.

Example of sub-topics for Chapter II:

Student Performance Discuss in this part the literatures that the researcher gathered about student’s performance related to you
research paper.

Student’s Computer Literacy Discuss in this part the literatures that the researcher gathered about Student’s Computer Literacy
related to you research paper.

Performance of Private Versus Public High Schools Discuss in this part the literatures that the researcher gathered about
Performance of Private Versus Public High Schools related to you research paper.

CHAPTER III Research Design and Methodology

Chapter 3 consists of three parts: (1) Purpose of the study and research design,

(2) Methods

Part one, Purpose of the study and Research Design, =relates the purpose of the study and describe the research design and
the variables used in this study.
Part two, Methods,-describes the participants, the data gathering materials and the research procedure used in the study.

Purpose of the Study The purpose of this (research design used) study will determine the relationship of (independent and
dependent variable) and will answer the following questions (Statement of the Problem).

Methods Clearly describe in details the participants, the data gathering materials (checklists, questionnaires, surveys, etc.) and the
procedure of gathering the research data.

CHAPTER IV Presentation, Analysis and Interpretation of Data

Statistical Data Analysis

Statistical Data analysis procedure.

STEP 1: To analyze statistical data, the researcher should first specify the hypothesis and use the appropriate data gathering
materials

In an experimental design, researcher can assess a cause-and-effect relationship (e., the effect of time spent in mobile gaming on
test scores) using statistical tests of comparison or regression.

In a correlational design, researcher can explore relationships between variables (e.,

parental income and academic performance) without any assumption of causality using correlation numbers and significance tests.

For statistical analysis, it’s important to consider the level of measurement of your variables. Quantitative data represents amounts.
These may be on an interval scale (e. test score, questionnaires, survey, etc.).

STEP 2: Discuss how the researcher came up with the purposive sampling technique used in the research paper in gathering the
data.

STEP 3: Describe how the researcher will collect all the data needed and inspect all the data and use words to describe and
summarize them. Create a graph (bar graph, pie graph, line graph, etc.) that will visualize the description of the data gathered.

STEP 4: Assuming that there is already data gathered and already been explained and visualized, describe how the hypothesis
will be accepted or rejected.
