Isosceles Triangle Theorem (ITT)
If two sides of a triangle are congruent,
then the angles opposite those sides are
congruent.

Base angles of an isosceles triangle

are congruent.

mR and mN. R N

mR = 75
mN = 30
Corollary
An equilateral triangle is also equiangular.

Each angle of an
equilateral triangle
has a measure of 60.
60°
Corollary
In an isosceles triangle, the bisector of
the vertex angle is also an altitude and a
median of the triangle.
Converse of ITT
If two angles of a
triangle are congruent,
then the sides opposite
those angles are
congruent.

Corollary
An equiangular triangle is also equilateral.

“The Church’s Deepest Nature” and the
Catholic Identity Triangle
“The Church’s deepest nature is expressed
in her three-fold responsibility: of
proclaiming the word of God (kerygma-
martyria), celebrating the sacraments
(leitourgia) and exercising the
ministry of charity (diakonia).
These duties presuppose each
other and are inseparable”
(Deus Caritas Est, 25)
“The Church’s Deepest Nature” and the
Catholic Identity Triangle

• proclaiming the word of God

• celebrating the sacraments
• exercising the ministry of
charity
The essence of a triangle is to be a
three sided closed figure. You need
three sides, which are necessary
connected by three angles. If any
side is missing, or if any side is
disconnected, it isn’t a triangle.

• exercising the ministry of

you contribute in each of the
Church’s responsibility?
