OBSERVATIONS:
A. GENERAL:
1. Asbestos abatement and testing is occurring.
2. It appears there is a good amount of debris in the existing exhaust ducts. See
attached photo number thirteen.
B. SITE
1. The east side of the building has been excavated for column enhancement.
See attached photo number one.

2. One of the below grade column enhancements on the east side of the
building had a form bow out. HCDA was alerted to the situation. The bow
in the concrete is acceptable provided the steel reinforcing stayed in tack. See
attached photo number two.
3. Damp proofing was being applied to the footer and column enhancements at
the east side of the building.
4. The west side of the building has been excavated for column enhancement.
See attached photo number three.
5. Conduits have been uncovered at the south side of the east side of the
building. This appears to be where water has been entering the building.
There are some bends on the lines also. See attached photo number ???
6. The slab outside the restaurant has been removed.
C. BUILDING EXTERIOR
1. Exterior guestroom walls at the balconies are being removed on the east side
of the building. See attached photo number four.
2. Balcony railings are being removed on the east side of the building. See
attached photo number four.
3. Transite panels continue to be removed around the building. See attached
photo number four.
4. Balconies have been cut off at the west side of the building at the new porte
cochere.
D. BASEMENT
1. Abatement is continuing in the boiler room.
2. The corridor floor has been cut and new waste lines are being installed. See
attached photo number five.
3. Flooring around columns to receive enhancements has been removed down
to the footer. Holes are being drilled in the columns for column
enhancements. See attached photo number six.
4. A portion of the floor in the Bee Bunch room has been removed because of
water damage. See attached photo number six.
5. Protection has been installed around existing finishes to remain.
6. Ceiling tiles have been removed to gain access to areas above the ceiling.

E. FIRST FLOOR
1. The bar has been removed. See attached photo number seven.
2. The casework from the registration counter has been removed and stored in
the north ball room.
3. Fire sprinkler piping and ductwork are being installed in the restaurant.
4. The main lobby ceilings are being removed. See attached photo number
eight.
5. Portions of walls are being removed for column enhancements.
F. SECOND FLOOR
1. Demolition work in guest rooms is continuing.
2. The wall paper and carpet in the corridor have been removed.
3. A portion of the chair rail and base has been removed from room 4215 to
the south end of the corridor. The chair rail and base were not to be
removed. See attached photo number nine.
4. The FCU’s have been removed from the guest rooms.
5. HVAC layout has begun in the guest rooms.
6. Layout for the Eggrock bathroom pods has begun. See attached photo
number ten.
G. THIRD FLOOR
1. The FCU’s have been removed from the guest rooms.
2. The closet door and toilet room doors are being removed. The guest room
entry doors and communicating doors are having protection applied.
3. Carpet is being removed from guest rooms.
4. Base and crown molding are being removed from guest rooms.
5. Fixtures and vanities in toilet rooms are being removed. There is a concern
about toilets being removed and porcelain pieces going down the drain pipe.

H. FOURTH FLOOR
1. Removal of FCU’s has begun in guest rooms.
2. Carpet and moldings are beginning to be removed in guest rooms.
3. Fixtures and vanities in toilet rooms are beginning to be removed. There is a
concern about toilets being removed and porcelain pieces going down the
drain pipe. See attached photo numbered eleven.

I. FIFTH FLOOR
1. Roof topping slab continues to be removed in preparation for new topping
slab.
J. SIXTH FLOOR
1. Construction has not begun at this level.
K. SEVENTH FLOOR
1. Construction has not begun at this level.
L. ROOF
1. The new roof trusses are being loaded on the roof as well as the roof
sheathing.
2. The concrete topping is being cut out for installation of new beams at the
north and south roofs. Cut outs have been made in the existing mansard
roof for installation of the new beam. See attached photo number twelve.
