Veritas Low Angle Jack Plane

Designated as a 62-1/2 plane - Sole is 15" long, 2-3/4" wide and accurately machined flat and square to sides
Body is made of stress-relieved ductile cast iron - Front locking knob easily moves adjustable mouth - Mouth
stop-screw adjusts to ideal opening; quickly restores exact mouth setting.

Blade is 2-1/4" wide, 3/16" thick, made of A2 or O1 tool steel and lapped on non-bevel side to flatness
tolerance of 0.0002" or better over working surface; average roughness surface finish of 5 microinches
(0.000005") or better

12° bed angle coupled with a 25° blade bevel yields 37° cutting angle

Optional 38° and 50° bevel blades and 38° toothed blade;38° bevel blade yields 50° cutting angle; 50° bevel
blade best for working difficult or reversing grain; 62° combined cutting angle produces Type II chip that
eliminates tear-out; toothed blade for working difficult grain, especially knots.
