PCA-Human Resource Frame Worksheet


Worksheet Objectives:
1. Describe the human resource frame
2. Apply the human resource frame to your personal case situation

Complete the following making sure to support your ideas and cite from the textbook and other
course materials per APA guidelines. After the peer review, you have a chance to update this and
format for your Electronic Portfolio due in Module 6.

1) Briefly restate your situation from Module 1 and your role.

I am a Project Manager with a national recognixzed firm that works with local and
federal governments.

2) Describe how the human resources of the organization influenced the situation.

Within in my situation my Human Resources Dept consists of 2 people, the HR Manager


and her assistant. Both are excellent at what they do, and what they do is make you feel
welcome and like aprt of the family. The firm I work for is a family owned company with
family members, sons, daughters, cousins, Uncles, etc. So they are tight knit group. So it
can feel a little overwhelming with everyone being so close and you as the new person.

The HR dept understands that and takes all that anxiety away from the situration with
how the bring the new employees in. You feel like part of the family right off the bat.
You are appreciated and welcome from every corner of the company. Everyone
instroduces themselves and is helpful and engaging. You do not feel like you are on a
island.

3) Recommend how you would use the human resources for an alternative course of
action regarding your case.

I think for my case there is not much I would want to change. For all the companies I
have worked for onboarding was always a struggle. Not so much here, they seem to have
dailed in.

4) Reflect on what you would do or not do differently given what you have learned
about this frame.

I believe our HR dept as stated previously has there game dialed in. There isn’t much that
I can see that would need to be changed or even want to change. They seem to be able to
pick the right individuals for the company as out turnover rate is below 2%. People do
not want to leave our company.

That says a lot about whe we offer and how we offer it. We all have a strng sence well
being for one another. There are no politics or back stabbing or passive aggressive
behavior – that is is the worst. It really is a great place to work!
