Measuring a radius or diameter with the

profile projector
- Put the QM data 200 on the main screen
- Use the buttons to select the measurement screen for measuring a circle (radius)

key C

- The following image will now appear on the screen:

X=
Y=
D=

X=
Y=
D=

- You now have to enter 3 points of the circle in the QM-data 200 on
next way.
- The workpiece or piece of pane of which you want the profile or diameter
determination must first be projected on the projection screen.
- The image of the workpiece must be sharpened by using
of the Y-displacement of the table.
- On the projection screen you see a cross of axes, you have to submit your workpiece
move, using the table's Z,X move,
so that the intersection of the axes crosses on the edge of it to be measured
piece. (see fig.)

- This is the first measuring point, to save this measuring point in the memory of
the QM data 200, we press the key “LOAD”

- Then we move our workpiece, or the glass to be measured, for a second

measuring point. (see fig.) Then we press “LOAD” again, save
measuring point 2”

2/3

- Now we move our workpiece or glass to be measured by a third

measuring point (see fig.) and press “LOAD” again

3/3

The QM-data 200 immediately calculates the center point and the diameter
Which immediately pops up on the screen. See example:

X= eg 0.020
Y= eg 1.233
R= eg 3.560

Method to determine the distance between two points or to determine

the asymmetry of the profile to be measured

we put the QM data 200 on the main screen

then we press key
J
X 10.00
Y 10.00

then appears on the screen eg

X 00.23

Y 00.56

We place our axes to one of our points to be measured

Then we set our counters to zero with the keys F1 and F2
We now move our workpiece or our pane to be measured by means of the
X, Z displacement to the other point to be measured and we can immediately
read the displacement (between distance) See fig.

e.g. Y=0.920

X 0.000

Y 0.920
