RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

This chapter contains the research design, the locale and population of the study, the

participants, the procedure followed, and the statistical tool.

Research Design

The study takes the form of a Descriptive Method in order to easily obtain information.

The Descriptive Method of research describes the Factors Affecting the Strand

Preference of the Senior High School Students

Locale and Population of the study

This study utilizes 67 Grade 10 students enrolled during the school year 2022-

2023 at Coloscaoayan National High School, Villanueva, Bautista, Pangasinan.

Sampling Procedure

The research will use the random sampling method, a probability sample that

involves the division of a population into smaller sub-groups known as strata. In random

sampling the parent population is divided into mutually exclusive and exhaustive

subsets, and a random sample of elements is chosen independently from each group of

subsets ( Churchill and brown, 2004).

Statistical treatment of Data

To answer question number which is all about the profile of the respondent’s

percentage and Frequency was used.

The Formulas are the following.
