I. INTRODUCTION
A pre-service teacher refers to an individual who is undergoing teacher education or
training program and has not yet completed the requirements to become a certified or licensed
teacher. This term is commonly used due to the field of education as to describe the students
who are studying to become a teacher someday. The purpose of pre-service teacher education is
to prepare aspiring teachers for their future roles in the classroom. It aims to equip them with a
strong foundation in educational theory, teaching methods, and practical skills required to create
engaging learning environments and facilitate student growth and development.
Additionally, a pre-service teacher also known as student teacher because they work
alongside to their cooperating teachers, observing and assisting with teaching activities. Also, I
may say that the student teachers gradually take one more responsibility, such as planning and
delivering lessons, managing the classroom, and assessing student progress. As you can see the
hands-on experience of a student teacher allows them to apply their learning, develop teaching
skills, and gain valuable insights into the teaching profession, preparing them for a future career
as an educator.
Being a student teacher is one of the great treasure experiences that I will never forget,
so through this narrative report I will narrate itself the things that I will never forget as a student
teacher.

~ BEFORE ~
MAY 18 & 19 & 22, 2023

Today marked another day of my student teaching experience, and also

these are the days that I am amazed at how much I’ve learned and
grown in such a short time. From morning to before lunch, I had
another chance to teach again to some of the Grade 8 students. Even
in vacant time I also planning to choose what specific topic and
lesson plan that I will going to prepare in my upcoming final
demonstration.

MAY 23, 2023

This is the day where the grade 7 and 8 are modular but we are still
required to go in school same as our cooperating teachers. Due to
this I have an opportunity to start planning in my detailed lesson
plan. To begin, I carefully reviewed the lesson plans and
instructional materials I had developed for the past pre-
demonstration. Also, I made sure they were aligned with the learning
objectives and encompassed engaging activities that catered to
diverse learning styles.

MAY 24, 2023

Today, as student teacher, I had another working day because I need

to finish immediately my detailed lesson plan in order to submit it
to my cooperating teacher and he will able to check the overall
contents of the said DLP. Also, for him to check if there is
anything that needs to be corrected or improved in the said detailed
lesson plan.

MAY 25, 2023

Another day will begin because this is the day where I need to have
another preparation for my final demonstration. To start my day, I
always pray that each preparation including planning, creating,
knowledge and even some other things that I need to put in my
upcoming final demonstration will be great especially on the very day

of my demonstration. I know this is hard to do but this part on the

profession that I will go through. Today is my submission of my
detailed lesson plan and I am nervous about the correction and
adjustments that my cooperating teacher will check.

MAY 26, 2023

Today was dedicated to intensive preparation for my final

demonstration because this is an important milestone in my upcoming
final demonstration. In morning, me and my coop decided to have dry
run in one section that we handle to further observe the flow of my
lesson plan also to notice if the demonstration that I prepared is
well effective or if there some part that I need to improve. This
will be the necessary preparation for me to be ready on the very day
of my final demonstration. After the class, I start doing my
powerpoint presentation that I also used in my final demonstration.

MAY 27, 2023

Another dedicated moment because this is a day where I need to buy

some of the materials for my IMs. I think this will be a tiring day
with worth and the struggle as well as hassle is on it. I know it is
always been difficult but I need to work with dedication and
determination in order to have a well demonstration. This day will be
a lot of work because I will make visual aids and some interactive
resources including my powerpoint to further have an enhance learning
experiences during my demonstration.

MAY 28, 2023

This is a continuous day for my IMs and I still focused on gathering

and organizing necessary materials and resources for tomorrow’s final
demonstration. I also sure that most of the IMs are visually
appealing and informative slides to support my presentation. Once I
am done on the overall materials, I double checked all the IMs to be
well-prepared and easily accessible for tomorrow as well as I wanted
to have a smooth and engaging demonstration.

MAY 29, 2023

Today was an unforgettable day as I finally had the

opportunity to showcase my growth and abilities in my final
demonstration. The mixture of excitement and nervousness
filled the air as I entered the classroom, actually this is
a still my hassle day but I will do my very best.
As the moment that I am
on my way to school I
keep on praying for
what will going to
happen in my
demonstration even
though I arrived late
at school. But my co-
student teacher helped
me to ready all my
visual aids, and some
necessary materials
that I will going to
use in the said demonstration once they are done helping
me. I took a deep breath then after I began a prayer and
greetings with my students.

Yes! It is really nervous

at first but in as the time
goes by my confident start
boosting and I can keep on
engaging the students to
attentively listened and to
participate on my lesson.
From the way that the
students react during class
their energy fueled my
enthusiasm.

I think that throughout the demonstration, I implemented

the lesson plan at my very best. I incorporated a variety

of instructional strategies,
including interactive
discussions, hands-on
activities, and multimedia
resources. The students
actively participated, asking
questions and eagerly sharing
their insights. Witnessing
their engagement and enthusiasm
validated the effort I had put

into designing an engaging and meaningful learning

experience.
Despite the nerves, I maintained a confident demeanor,
delivering instructions and explanations with clarity and
enthusiasm. As the demonstration came to a close, I felt a

sense of accomplishment that I make it even though there

are lots of obstacles that I face.

The feedback and

reactions from the
students and observers
were positive,
reinforcing the
effectiveness of my
teaching approach. It
was rewarding to see
the impact I had made,
both in terms of
knowledge acquisition
and fostering a
positive learning
environment.

Following the demonstration,

I engaged in a reflective
discussion with my mentor
teacher and received
constructive feedback. I
valued their insights and
suggestions, which will aid
in my continued growth as an
educator. Their
encouragement and support
throughout this journey have
been instrumental in my

development.

As I reflect on the day of my

final demonstration, I am
overwhelmed with a sense of
gratitude. The experience has
been a testament to the
progress I have made as a

student teacher
and the passion I
have for
teaching. As this
chapter of my
student teaching
journey comes to
an end, I am
filled with a
profound sense of
accomplishment
and readiness to
embark on the
next phase of my
professional
growth. I am
thankful for the
opportunities I have had and the support I have received.
The final demonstration was a memorable culmination, and I
am excited to carry the lessons and experiences with me as
I continue to pursue my aspirations in the field of
education.
