en las defining relative clauses They caught the man that spied for China.

Es muy importante distinguir entre WHO y WHO’S. El último implica un verbo


que está en forma de sufijo detrás del relativo WHO. Por tanto, hay que fijarse
si lo que hay detrás del relativo es un verbo.
 DEFINING AND NON-DEFINING CLAUSES
1. Defining relative clauses
Sus características principales son:
- No necesitan comas
- El “that” se puede sustituir por todos los pronombres
relativos (when, who, where y when)
- Toda la información es relevante

2. Non-defining relative clauses Sus


características principales son:
- La información irrelevante va entre comas.
- El “that” no se puede sustituir por ningún otro pronombre
relativo. Es decir, cada uno tiene que utilizar el que le
toque.
