99 Oxygen Sensor 3522W000-002 Honeywell B737NG 47-42-03 LHT DLH

Airworthiness Limitation
47-AWL-09

According to 47-AWL-09, a non-compliance on the NGS on the B737NG has been discovered and the oxygen
sensor is affected. The oxygen sensor got a new 18.000 FH limit, applicable to several aircraft. (produced after
June 4, 2019 aircraft having SB SB-737-47-1015).

In 737NG-FTD-47-19003, Boeing describes that the AMM and CMM shall be revised to allow functional check of
the sensor on-wing or in the shop.

1. CMM already gives test instructions and instructions to replace the oxygen sensor within the LRU, so what
shall/will be added?

2. Did we understand this correctly that the oxygen sensor now has an 18.000 FH scrap limit?

3. We heard that there should be a procedure coming to overhaul the oxygen sensor to be able to reset the
limit. Is that correct and if yes, when will it be in place?

When sending units to Honeywell and talking to them, they are not aware of this limit and do not ask for any FH of
the equipment and do not offer to apply this reset procedure.

4. Why is that the case?

47-AWL-09 is only applicable to aircraft delivered after June 4, 2019 and to aircraft having SB SB-737-47-1015.

5. What about components that were in one of these aircraft and are switched to another one after being
repaired? What about the other way around?

Honeywell, Boeing, other Operators, and MROs, comment please.
