With this activity, you are expected to achieve the following learning
outcomes:

Learning Outcome 2: plan their English language practicum in online environments

regarding schedule proposal, topics, language level, and strategies for conducting
classes derived from former research processes.

The activity consists of:

1. Be attentive to the message your tutor will send to your institutional email with the
assigned online scenario for your practicum and the suggested English language
contents you would teach to complete the work plan format. Likewise, be attentive
to the directions given through the course internal mail and institutional email
regarding the ARL certificate, which you have to submit at the end of this Stage 2.
2. Download the ECEDU work plan format F-7-6-20 posted in the Learning
environment in the folder of the guide for the development of the practical
component Stage 4 (Simulated scenario and research results).
3. Fill the work plan format projecting the required 64 hours of this practicum in
online environments according to the following:
• The idea is to distribute the 64 hours into 42 hours for live classes, 14 hours
for lesson planning, and 8 hours for research, in 7 weeks (check the chart
below).
• You will deliver classes through synchronic interaction tools for 7 weeks,
using Teams, with two groups in charge (Group A and Group B). You will

1
meet with each group twice a week, that is, four classes per week, each one
of them 1,5 hours long, according to the schedule you proposed in Stage 1.

TOTAL 64 HOURS

• Based on the suggested contents you got in your institutional email when the
assignment of scenario was made by your tutor, make decisions on the
topics you will cover in 7 weeks for both groups in charge and register that
in the work plan format F-7-6-20 accordingly, taking into account also the
above chart. Include the hours for lesson planning and research as well.
• The work plan format F-7-6-20 must be submitted in Word to the Evaluation
environment to be signed only by your tutor in this course.

4. Go over your research idea for this practicum in online environments, the one you
set in Stage 1, and develop the statement of the problem. Be sure you provide
clear information for any reader who does not know about your research and
practicum in online environments. Remember that your research problem
establishes how you must answer the "So What" question. Your problem statement
should be clear and precise. It should demonstrate a researchable topic and
identify what would be studied. It must be at least three-quarters of a page long.
5. Based on the statement of the problem, build a theoretical and methodological
framework to provide accurate support to your research process to be carried out
in your practicum in online environments. Include at least three authors for your
theoretical framework and describe how you will perform your research during
your English practicum in online environments. Be specific on the strategies, tools,

2
and resources that you will include in your research process. Do not forget to use
citations according to APA rules. Your references must be complete at the end of
the document. Your theoretical and methodological framework should be at least
one page and a half long, and the document must keep APA standard 7th edition.
Take into consideration margings, indentations, spacing, titles, etc.
6. Submit to the Evaluation environment a zip file with the ARL certificate, the work
plan format F-7-6-20 fully completed in Word according to guidelines, and a PDF
document with the statement of the problem, the theoretical and methodological
framework, and APA style references.

SPECIAL NOTICE: Based on your work plan format F-7-6-20 and research problem,
start planning the lessons that you will deliver in Stages 3 and 4. Download the
lesson plan format posted in the Learning environment in the folder of the guide for
the development of the practical component Stage 4 (Simulated scenario and
research results), and start planning your classes and deliver them according to the
course director's instructions sent by institutional email. Remember that you will have
to submit two lesson plans per week for Stages 3 and 4. One lesson plan is useful for
both groups in charge, so at the end of the practicum, you will have completed 14
lesson plans.
