Go back to Lesson 1 to 4 of this Unit 2. Then, apply all the concepts of business rules,
entity, attributes and relationship to create a more detailed Entity Relationship Diagram
using Crow’s Foot Notation similar to the detailed ERD of the Bulacan State University
Admission Test System depicted in Figure 2.26.

1. The following business rules for the XYZ Company:


a. Each sales representative writes many invoices. Conversely each invoice is written by only
one sales representative.
b. Each sales representative is assigned to exactly one department. Conversely each department
has at least one sales representatives.
c. Each customer can generate many invoices. But each invoice is generated by one and only one
customer.

2. Figure below shows a sample of
certificate of grades from the Bulacan State
University student portal generated at the
end of each semester. Prepare an Entity
Relationship Diag ram (ERD) reflecting
the data contained in the given certificate.
Assume that each course is taught by one
instructor. Explain what you chose for the
identifier of each entity type on your ERD.

attributes, and the instructor would
advise the students.

the Bulacan State University, analyse the given ERD then
create a more detailed ERD similar to
Figure 2.26.
