About Me

Hello! My name is Jeremy Sikes, and I am your child's 6th grade math teacher this year! I am
married to my wife, Trista, and we have two amazing boys, Luke and Liam (they are twins)! We
also have four dogs and enjoy spending time with each other every day. I graduated from
Western Governor’s University with my B.A. in Middle Grades Mathematics Education. I am
looking forward to a fantastic school year!

Procedures

There are three procedures that I do take very seriously. I expect your child to be on time and
ready, be respectful, and work as hard as we can every single day. I believe these three
expectations will lead to a successful year in my classroom. As long as I see these expectations
being met, I will help however I can to ensure your child has a successful school year.

Grading and Assignments

Most homework that I send home will be assignments that your child may not have finished in
class. I expect these assignments to be completed so your child does not receive any unwanted
grades in the gradebook. I do expect any of my assignments to be completed. If it is not turned
in within three days of the assigned due date, I will assign after school detention to make sure
my assignments are completed. As for redoing assignments or assessments, I will allow your
child to make corrections if they made anything below a 70%.

have Remind set up once classes begin as another form of contacting me and a way for me to
send reminders. If your child has any concerns, I am available during our in-school tutorial
time, my conference period, and after school. Don’t hesitate to reach out because I am here to
help!
