WINTER HOLIDAY HOMEWORK

CLASS : SIXTH

Dear Parents,
Warm greetings!
We have compiled a set of sheets and some activities to keep
your child engaged in learning activities during the winter
vacation.

Guidelines:
 Children should do the holiday homework daily. Parents
are requested not to do their child’s homework. They can

only guide them. 
 Students are requested to do holiday homework in their
respective subject notebooks and use an A4 sheet

wherever required. 
 At least two hours per day should be spent doing some
educational activities. 
 English
1. Collect the pictures of any 5 Desert Animals. Paste them in your English
Practice notebook and write about their survival under harsh conditions.
2. Write a Diary Entry on ‘How you celebrated New Year.’

Mathematics
1. Prepare a chart to present the place value table with examples. (Chapter-8.
Decimals) [Take examples from the price of different products]

Science
1. Prepare a poster on ways of saving water. Also write one slogan on the topic
‘Save Water’.
(Use A4 size coloured sheet)
2. Make a beautiful model of ‘Pinhole Camera’. Also learn its important uses.

Social Science
1. Make a chart-based presentation on India: Climate and Vegetation. Paste
pictures related to the topic and mention why forests are necessary and how
we can conserve it?
OR
2. Make a chart-based presentation on Buddha and Buddhism. Paste related
pictures and write elaborately on his way of life and teachings. (Use A4 size
sheet)
