1. To achieve 96% efficiency from the current efficiency of 91 %.
2. To reduce stripping time from 24 hours per batch to 20 hours per batch.

KRA #2: Housekeeping a Way of Life for Mill Productivity

OBJECTIVE:

Implementation of 5S program to all Departments / Sections of the Mill Division within six (6) months.

KRA # 3= Installation & Commissioning of Lime Mixing Tank

OBJECTIVE:

To provide a set-up for a continuous introduction of lime solution to the grinding circuit and into the CIL
tanks to maintain the required pH throughout the whole circuit by the end of August 2023.

Advantages of a continuous and steady addition of lime solution to the circuit.

1. Prevention of premature wear and tear of grinding media and mill liners caused by acidic media
caused by irregular addition of lime, thus extending the service life of liners and steel balls.

2. Maintaining a stable pH of 10.5 – 11.0 requirement at the CIL tanks will ensure good dissolution
of values as function of Cyanide is optimized. Unstable and low pH at circuit tend to consume
more Cyanide as the evolution of Cyanic gas occurs at a low and unsteady pH in the circuit.

3. Safer working area as evolution of Cyanic gas which is toxic is mitigated or totally prevented.

4. Ball mill tender will have more time to attend to his duties and responsibilities as an operator.

Current practice of introducing lime to the Circuit:

1. Hauling of 7 sacks of lime from nearby stockpile to ball feed spout platform.

2. Pouring of 7 sacks of hydrated lime (25-kg/sack) at the feed spout of the ball mill unit at an
hourly interval or frequency of 1 hour at the first hour of the shift. Unstable pH condition occurs
when normal or required frequency of addition is not attained and is irregular.
