A Narrative Report on School Performance Assessment Evaluation and

Recognition for Service Excellence

Doña Carmen Denia National High School held the School Performance
Assessment Evaluation and Recognition for Service Excellence on July 14, 2022.
The activity is intended to promote creativity, innovation, efficiency, integrity, and
productivity in the public service by recognizing and rewarding officials and
employees, individually or in groups, for their suggestions, inventions, superior
accomplishments, and other personal efforts that contribute to the efficiency,
economy, or other improvement in government operations, or for other extraordinary
acts or services in the public interest.

The program began with the national anthem, which was followed by an
invocation, the recitation of the Panunumpa ng Kawani ng Gobyerno, and the playing
of the Davao Regional Hymn via an Audio-Visual Presentation.

The program's rationale was presented by Mr. Ernesto V. Baclaan, Jr. He


emphasized the importance of recognizing and rewarding accomplishments and
innovations on a regular or as-needed basis, as well as identifying outstanding
accomplishments and best practices of employees on a regular basis. He also
mentioned the various service and excellence awards that would be presented later.

SIP Coordinator Mr. Julius H. Simene provided updates on the School


Improvement Plan and the Annual Improvement Plan. He discussed the
development of the SIP, its timeline, and the roles and responsibilities of the School
Planning Team.

Ms. Rachel C. Eupeña, Senior Bookkeeper, explained the school's budget


allocation based on the National Expenditure Program, as well as the process flow
for requesting and releasing supplies funded by the school MOOE. In addition, she
clarified that there is a separate fund for senior high school. She also mentioned
about personal services such as PERA, teacher salaries, PAG-IBIG, and Phil Health.
Priority expenses such as water, electricity, janitorial services, and security were also
stated.

The department's accomplishment reports were presented but were cut short
due to time constraints.

Mr. William D. Enriquez, school principal, presented Assessment and


Evaluation of PAPs and Future Direction. He shared with honor and pride some of
the school's successful projects include the mounting of grills in the classrooms, the
transfer as well as installation of flagpole, and the fitting of glass panels in the
principal's office, SPED center, and accounting office. He also mentioned the
renovation of the senior high school faculty room, the replacement and provision of
new CCTVs, the improvement of the school gate with school signage, and the
installation of additional lights in the gym, including safety wiring. Among the ongoing
projects are the creation of an e-library and the installation of tiles in all faculty
rooms.

Mr. William D. Enriquez presented the awards, certificates, and recognition of


service excellence, assisted by Mr. Danilo P. Mondoyo, Mrs. Anna Madanlo, and
Mrs. Generesa B. Sasam. The awards were given to teachers, PTA officials, and
school utilities. The following awards were given out: service excellence for
punctuality, perfect attendance, SLM production, leadership, SBM Team, and ICT
Media Team, among other things.

The closing remarks were given by Mr. Danilo P. Mondoyo, assistant school
principal. He encouraged everyone to take initiative, be open-minded, and be
pressure-tolerant. He also underlined that everyone's commitment, devotion, and
participation are essential for every endeavour to succeed.
