Please answer the following questions:

1. Is there a project that you worked on in any of your previous roles that you are
really proud of?
My previous role as customer service, I do not have any experience with working on
projects at work. After I graduated, I manage to get a position at Johnson & Johnson
and during this time I have been working from home for the whole one year due to
Covid-19. I learned and training SAP system for my role also through online.
Working as customer service, my role hasn’t been project-based. However, I still tried
to improve things in work and gave several suggestions to my team leader. For
example, there were some issue with SAP system especially for EDI order that I have
been working on. The system has been error for 2 months and upon checking, the
issue happened to be error from the excel file from customer. After solving the issue, I
manage to do the order as usual. I think you can call this a project at least from the
view of customer service.
From my internship period, I was assigned by my supervisor to be assistant for
convocation ceremony. I have many tasks to be worked on such as filling student
data, attendance of the student, handling main guest which is the Queen of Pahang,
collecting the fees from student and others. I also in charge to follow for site visit and
choosing menus for this ceremony. However, one week before the ceremony
supposed to be held, government of Malaysia has announced the Movement Control
Order (MCO 1.0) for all states in Malaysia due to Covid-19. Thus, this ceremony has
been postponed and I didn’t manage to attend the ceremony as planned. However, I’m
glad to be part of the journey.
I have worked on many important projects throughout my student life. For example,
my last project as undergraduate, I was appointed as Vice Director for ‘Ilmu Tautan
Kasih’, Thailand programme. This is international volunteering programme involve
with Malaysian student and Thailand community. The purpose of this project is to
built mini library at the community area which has lack access of education such as
the place and book for study. My role as vice director was to help director for
planning of the events, distribution the task for all team members and give clear
update progress to the director. I remember we need to collect 2000 books and I was
assigned to lead the team member to complete this mission. I asked all team member
to bring at least 25 books per person and I do call some of libraries in Malaysia to ask
for donation. At the end, we manage to achieve 2080 books for this project. The day
before the programme, I was sitting for my final semester exam. It was really tough
time for me since I need to focus two things at one time. I am so glad that I manage to
get dean list award for that semester and this project also has been successful and
useful for the community until this day.
2. List 3 of your weaknesses and describe how you overcome it.
Firstly, I am detail-based person. I focus too much on details which lead me to spend
more time assessing the issue then others. For example, as a customer service, I need
to make sure all order that I made for customer is correct. I need to double check
every time I do order to avoid any rejection from customer. Some order usually took
15 minutes to be made, however I usually take 20-25 minutes to do order. I strive to
improve this by rechecking myself in a regular time gap. I make sure not over
checking the details if I already check for the first time. I manage to have no rejection
order at all from starting of my career to the day my contract has been end. I think it
was one of my great achievement for this job.
Besides, I sometimes can’t focus if I got pile of works at the same time. This is
because I set myself high standard and expect myself to finish my task perfectly.
Although it can irritate me at times, I have learnt to prioritize my work so that I able
to focus on the right job and do it to a consistent high standard. Having said that, I
have recently doing my own timetable to manage and prioritize my task based on the
time. I also observe the trend of the task which one should be prioritize first so that I
didn’t be pressure by others to finish the task.
Next, I struggle with compliment. I do receive compliment from my team leader and
Singapore team during my previous job. I become obsessed with perfecting my work
after received the compliment. I wanted to avoid any mistake which lead me to give
high pressure to myself. While I appreciate all the compliment, I think I can learn to
be less harsh on myself. I do take note that nobody’s perfect to make me be more
realise that I can do mistake to learn from it too.

3. Are you willing to travel & work in the USA for at least 6 months?

I am willing to travel and work in the USA because one of my dream job is to work
oversea. I have no commitment in terms of family since I’m single and not married
yet. However, I do consider about the visa, place and safety since I’m a woman. If
company provides the guideline and it also benefit me, I will gladly accept it.

4. How much is your expected salary?

Considering myself at junior level, my salary expectations are in line with my

qualifications. Before I provide a solid answer, I would like to get more exposure with
the position and the company so I can better provide more accurate salary expectation.
