My parents are always telling me, school gives you the keys to the door of
success in the real world, and that you'll need these keys to get into your dream
job but it doesn't even open the correct door knob

But nowadays our education isn't about learning,

They think we’ll thrive even though were confined

It teaches us that if you don't get high grades, you won't succeed
That if you don't meet the expected criteria, you’ll be walking straight into a
stampede

This education system doesn't teach us what's really important for the real
world
It doesn't teach us how to live or how to survive and we go around confused in a
swirl

It never taught us life's struggles or how to pass a job interview

It only teaches us homework and makes us feel alone

It taught us that homework is more important than family

2
That it's more important than being a kid with a life making our school life a
calamity

It taught us that if you spend time with friends and didn't do your work, you're
setting yourself up for failure
3
Failure to succeed in life, even though it's all a lie, set up and forcing us to
comply.

They pile us with work to the point where we can't even breath
They never once thought of the other assignments whose existence they don't
believe
We have to memorise useless notes which will be irrelevant once we get a job
We're forced to study for hours to pass a test because they think we'll become
slobs.

They never prepared us for the future

How are we supposed to make a living for ourselves when all we have learned
4
was the stress over homework and family

The anxiety over a failed test or assignment?

Or the feeling of wasted time and not meeting the requirements.

This education system never prepared us for anything

5 6
Not for our future job, as future parent or any of our believings

So my parents say, to be successful in life, you must thrive and achieve great
things in school. But what about my feelings, and all my fuel.
