ABSTRACT
The purpose of coming up with this project is because all over Kenya it is observed that Farmers
have a hard time on by goods and later on transporting it to their farms that might be in rural
areas or far places .Example a farmer staying in Bungoma can order farm inputs from Nairobi
and there is no means that help to transport inputs. This means it is time consuming

Methods that I use to come up with this project are the use of Microsoft Access to create the
tables for field types and the records. I also used Microsoft Word to come up with
documentation for the project

From the above reasons I observed that the project has lots of benefit like it can help the
farmers and transporters by making their work easier by providing means of transport and also
can help save time for transporting the products and inputs

I can conclude from the above observation that when this project may be implied within the
farmers and transporters it will help them by making their work easier and also avoid time
consuming. It will also benefit the people to start a business for transportation of farm inputs
and products

Dedication
I like to dedicate this project to farmers who have a problem in keeping their
records of information and also transporting there farm inputs and product. I also
like to dedicate it to Kenya National Examination Council who later might help
farmers all over Kenya to come up with a record and transport system to make
work easier for the farmers all over Kenya

I would sincerely like to thank the almighty God for granting me wisdom;
skills, guidance and knowledge that help me develop Movers Transport System. I
individually like to appreciate my computer teacher for guiding me through the
project and showing me the skills on how to use a computer. I like to thank the
school management for providing me with the equipment’s and hardware
components needed to do the project. Lastly I also like to acknowledge my parents

CHAPTER ONE
1.0 :INTRODUCTION
1.1: BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Movers transport system is a company that provides transportation for various
agricultural goods for farmers between farms and retail outlet .it transports farm
inputs and produce .Large scale farmers register individually while small scale
farmer in group of five.
1.2: STATEMENT OF PROBLEM
This system was developed because transportation at first was time consuming to
export the products also it was hard to communicate with the farms who wanted
to order goods over phone they had to come specifically to give the order
1.3: SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM
The solution to the problem could be that the system could give a specific address
and phone number plus an extra one to allow the company to communicate easily
with the farmers .Also allowing more vehicles and appointing more drivers to
avoid time consume to transport goods
1.4: SIGNIFICANCE
Significance about this project is that it makes works very easier for both farmers
and the company. Also it allows the company to keep the records about all the
farmers and goods they transport
1.5: LIMITATIONS
This project has a limitation that it is hard for the company to keep up with the
project because of the illiterate members who find it difficult to communicate with
the market
1.6: PRECAUTIONS
The precaution set for the system was that the company set rules and allow the
system to work fluently there was also another precaution set of passwords to be
kept in the system software to avoid illegal access to the to the records by anyone

CHAPTER TWO
2.0 SYSTEM ANALYSIS
2.1PROBLEM DEFINITION

The current system used is manual system, records are kept in a file and stored in
a shelf, and it creates less space in the office. The problems faced by the current
system is that first communication between the farmers and the company is
poor .It is hard for them to communicate and to give order they have to come to
the office to give it out. Transporting of the goods is also a problem for the system
it takes them long and also it is time consuming because they don’t have the
records of the vehicles transporting them and they don’t have the time limit to
transfer the goods .Keeping the updates of loaders and drivers is also difficult the
manual files can easily get lost from the system and that brings a problem to keep
their records .Farmers, loaders or drivers might be forced to register again if their
manual file gets lost.

2.2OVERVIEW OF EXISTING SYSTEM

Overviewing of the system is that it has more disadvantages than advantages .It
makes it difficult to find or keep any record because they are stored manually in
the shelf also the system is tiresome to handle when finding a record and might
lead to a loss in the company because of the displacement of orders or payment
records and that’s the reasons of coming up with new movers transport system

2.3OVERVIEW OF PROPOSED SYSTEM

The prosed system is more advanced than the existing system .Based on the
requirements; the system should have the following features: Input form for
entering the data of farmers, drivers and loaders. It should include records of
orders, payment, vehicle maintain the records and also update them from time to
time. The system should generate the reports of all the inputted data or records.
It should allow faster research of the data or files and also be able to record the
profit or loss for the company in terms of money
2.3.1 OBJECTIVES
The main purpose of coming up with this movers transport system is to help the
company to be able to transport goods ,take orders easily and also be able to
maintain the records of the data stored in . Also to occupy less space in the office
rather than of keeping them in shelves

2.3.2 SCOPE OF THE SYSTEM

Although Movers transport system has several operation to carry out in the
system but the system will mainly support the main work of transporting and
ordering of produce or inputs of the company

2.3.3 BENEFITS OF PROPOSED SYSTEM

The system might be viewed as an expensive project but the benefits are there to
allow the use of the project because it is easier:
1 The company will be able to keep the records easily stored in a less place
2 it will avoid the loss of data because it will be stored together at one place
3 The service will be easier because the system will provide online orders
4 The system will improve on transportation but keeping vehicles records and time
given for transportation
5 It will gain more customers because of more satisfaction on the order and
transportation
6 It will help the company know their maintenance on profits and loss

2.4FEASIBILITY
The feasibility study included where research and findings through the existing
system. Following are feasibility reports:

2.4.1 SCHEDULE FEASIBILITY :- It shows that it might take

around 6 months for the project proposed to be developed
2.4.2 TECHNICAL FEASIBILITY :- The company needs to
upgrade on having more computer systems for use in
organization and also improve on having more employees who
knows how to use and run computers
2.4.3 OPERATIONAL FEASIBILITY :- The proposed system
might be in need to change the staff by retraining or replacing
it with employees who are more educated in computing error
2.4.4 ECONOMIC FEASIBILITY: - The project would not cost
loss of expenses if the cost is balanced well over the 6 months
on the project.
The feasibility reports justify the development of the proposed system

2.5METHODS OF DATA COLLECTION

Method of data collection was filled by Research and using of manual system
2.5.1 RESEARCH
Online research was made through Goggle Chrome to confirm more about the
company and its system and how it functions to help come out with computerized
system

2.5.2 MANUAL SYSTEM

Go through manual system was used to keep the latest updates of records and
also to confirm the missing sector in the system
