Dear Ma’am,

We are writing to propose an idea for our culminating activity in our 21st Century Literature
from the Philippines and the World class. As we near the end of the lessons in Philippine
Literature under Quarter 3, we believe it is important to celebrate the students’
achievements and showcase their learning in a meaningful way.
Our proposal is to organize a musical theater where each section in Grade 11 presents the
story of "Miss Phathupats," combining the different Literary Forms namely: Folk Song, Folk
Dance and Spoken Poetry. This will provide an opportunity for students to showcase their
creativity and collaboration skills. It will also help the students develop an ability to
understand works of literature, performance, and expression in general. It is an outlet for
students to express themselves in a unique artistic manner.
Here is an outline of our proposal:
Date and venue: The culminating activity will be held on April 14, 2023, at the PMCHS
gymnasium.
Program: Presentation of each section
Discussion sessions: After all the presentations, we will hold a discussion session where
students can share their thoughts and insights on the presented works, ask questions, and
engage in meaningful discussions.
Awards: To recognize outstanding presentations, we can organize a series of awards, such
as Best Miss Phatuphats, Best Folk Song, Best Folk Dance, Best Spoken Poetry and Best
Overall Presentation.
Audience: The culminating activity will be open to all students in our class and faculty
members who are interested in attending.
I believe that this activity will provide a unique and engaging way to show the students
learning in a fun and interactive way. I hope that you will consider our proposal and that we
can work together to make this a memorable culminating activity for our English class.
Thank you for considering our proposal.
