Background information:

Student: senior high school students, grade 3

Lesson duration: 20 minutes

Teaching aids: PPT, link to audio, Chalk, blackboard, handouts.

Teaching procedures:

Step 1: Pre-listening

a) Introduce 4 famous universities in America and ask students to

complete a matching task.

b) Introduce different types of degrees in America.

Step 2：while-listening

a) Ask students to listen to a passage carefully and tell the theme of it.

b) Ask students to listen to the passage again and fill out the following
passage.

c) Tell students the answer and correct their mistakes.

Step 3：post-listening

a) Activity. Teacher will write some numbers on blackboard and students

should say it in English.

B) Show the listening text to student and explain the full text.
