Checking messenger after I get a glass of water in the morning or afternoon ☺️
After lunch or breakfast, I sometimes go on Pinterest to take up a little bit of my time while I’m
waiting for a conference to start 😋
If I have enough free time, I’ll go and play on my switch since I know it takes up a lot of my time 🤩
When I am waiting for something and it is taking a while, I usually open YouTube or Pinterest😙
Right after I open my pc, I wait for Spotify so I can listen to music while doing schoolwork😍

Choose one digital habit you want to change or to try to do differently. Why is it important that you
change this habit?
One habit I’d want to change is my habit of opening messenger right as I wake up and use the
bathroom. Since I just woke up, I don’t want to expose my eyes to my gadgets since my eyes need to
rest a little bit more and that if I immediately look at my gadgets it can be harmful to my eyes. It also
helps my eyes get less blurry since I do not look at a screen.

Challenge yourself. Make a plan for how you would like to change your habit. Consider when you
will do something different and what you can do instead. (When we're trying to change a habit, it's
not enough just to say what we won't do. We also have to come up with something to do instead!)
What I can do instead is look outside, and just ponder with my thoughts instead of immediately
looking at my messenger. I should do this in the morning so that it would still be bright and peaceful
outside.
Boost

to do? If you're trying to break a bad habit, what are some things you can do so that you don't slip
back into old ways?
I should try putting my phone outside my bedroom so that I don’t get tempted to use it.

Time to share. Say something about what you learned for today and how this discussion helped you.
What I learned from today is that, I use social media more than I thought I did. I always thought
social media was about messenger, Instagram, twitter, tik tok, basically public blogging sites. I didn’t
know any other thing on my electronics that requires internet was also part of social media. This
discussion really made me realize that I should cut down my social media hours since it can be a little
bit unhealthy.
