Online Tender Submission Quick Guide

This is a quick guide for submission of online Proposals to Botswana Power Corporation.

To access the SFTP server:

1. Download the WinSCP client from the following link: https://winscp.net/eng/download.php

2. To install the software on your computer, run the downloaded WinSC.exe file.

3. Once the installation is complete, launch the installed program by double clicking on the
WinSCP icon located on your desktop.

4. On the WinSCP client screen, populate the following fields:

a. File protocol: SFTP

b. Host name: 168.167.201.10

c. Port number: 7020

d. Username: Your username will be sent to you through email

e. Password: Your password will be sent to you through email

5. The following screen will be displayed once the Bidder has successfully logged on.

As highlighted on the screenshots above, the section highlighted with red is a list of files on
the local computer of the Bidder and the section on the right highlighted blue is for the remote
server where the Proposal will be uploaded.

Downloading the RFP Documents

6. Once inside the SFTP server. Download the RFP documents from the folder: Download RFP
HERE

7. Right click on the folder Download RFP HERE and select Download.
 8. Click on Browse to choose a desired folder on your computer to save the files or just click OK
and the files will download.

Uploading your Proposal Submission

9. There are three (3) folders created namely:

a. Volume 1 (Compliance Documents)

b. Volume 2 (Technical and Financial Proposals)

c. Volume 3 (Tariff Proposal)

10. To upload your Proposal, drag and drop Proposal documents from your computer into the
SFTP server in their respective folders as stated in step 9.

Once you are satisfied with your submission. Close the application to terminate the session.
