A classic annual, snapdragons have been
grown for generations. Snapdragons are a
wonderful cool-season annual that fit
right along with pansies and violas and
look good in mixed containers or cut for
bouquets. Not only are they appreciated
by humans for their bright, cheery
colors, but they are also an important
nectar plant for the

alyssum is a wonderful cool-season
annual that seems to bloom its head off
in mild spring weather. This plant has
been a long-time favorite because of its
dainty blossoms on tight mounds of
foliage. These plants work great
as landscape edging plants in the garden
and even in containers. Plant them in
masses to create an abundance of its
light fragrance
ALLYSUN ROYAL CARPET
Flowers are a violet-purple that bloom
quickly. Plant in full or part sun. Has a sweet
honey-like fragrance. Height 4 inches.

BALSAM CAMELLIA FLD MIXED
this old-fashioned annual adds an
exotic, almost gaudy touch to the
garden. It offers interesting, trumpet-
shape blooms, mostly in shades of
pink. Many selections have bicolor
flowers. Balsam often self-seeds in the
garden and is very easy to grow.
Plant established plants outdoors in
spring after all danger of frost has
passed.

An annual variety of Balsam that

of Doubled flowers that range in
colour from whites through to

BELLIS DBL FLD MIXED
Daisies have long been popular for spring
bedding, particularly in mild winter regions.
Plants are biennial, usually lasting through
one season, but self-seeding to provide
future generations. This strain features loads
of cute little button-like flowers, the tiny
petals making perfect little domes in shades
of red, pink or white. Removing faded
flowers regularly will keep plants blooming
well into the summer.
CALENDULA KABLOUNA MIXED
This remarkable, quite new cottage
garden delight has large, strikingly-
crested, slowly darkening blooms of
gold, lemon, orange and apricot with a
dark, contrasting, pin-cushion boss of
tightly-quilled petals. Easily grown by
simply broadcasting the seeds.
CINERARIA SILVERDUST
This tender shrub is usually grown as a
half-hardy annual foliage plant. The
young leaves of 'Silver Dust' are slightly
lobed, a bit like oak leaves, but as the
plants mature, they become deeply cut,
much paler in colour and are covered in
a silvery grey fleece
