NARRATIVE SUMMARY EXPERIENCES

A. Working with my Co-workers

Problems Encountered

At first, we had a hard time working well together and we lack of communicating.

Problem Solution

To resolve the problem, we talked openly about our differences. We learned to

work together and found ways to combine our skills. We also improved how we
communicate and learned that communication is important.

What I Have Learned

This experience taught me the value of teamwork and communication. I realized

that by embracing our strengths and communicating well, we became more
efficient and it can fix the problem easily.

B. Working with the supervisor/manager

Problems Encountered

During my work immersion at the salon, I faced a challenge in communicating

with the salon managers. They were often busy attending to clients and
managing the salon, making it difficult to approach them for guidance and
because of shyness.

Problems Solution

To address this issue, I observed and learned from the experienced salon staff’s.
I paid attention to their instructions and tried my best to perform tasks
independently. When I had questions or needed guidance, I take the opportunity
when they are available and there are no clients they attending.

What I Have Learned

This experience taught me the importance of adaptability and taking initiative. I

realized that in a busy salon, managers may have limited time to provide
constant guidance. By being observant, resourceful, and seeking help when
necessary, I learned to take responsibility for my work and develop my skills.

C. Working With The Community

Problems Encountered

During my work immersion at the salon, I faced a challenge in connecting with

the community. Some clients seemed hesitant or unsure about trying new
services and a work immersion student to assist or attend them with the service
they want.

Problems Solution

To overcome this challenge, I learned to be friendly, approachable, and provide

excellent customer service. I greeted clients warmly, listened to their
preferences, made recommendations based on their needs and hear they’re
feedbacks to improve more.

What I Have Learned

This experience taught me the importance of customer relations and trust. I

realized that building relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and
gaining they’re trust can make a significant difference. By understanding their
needs and promoting the salon's offerings, I learned how to attract and retain
customers, contributing to the salon's success.

E. Weekly Diaries

Week 1

This week I did Pedicure, learn how to use a nipper and curl a hair.

Week 2

This week I foot and hand massaged our manager Ma’am Romela and how to
apply nail polish properly.

Week 3

Week 3 we observed the salon staffs how they do rebond performed manicure to
my co workers.

Week 4

This week we experienced how they apply polygel on our nails and I joined a
game on the other salon called Pinoy Henyo.

Week 5

Last week of our immersion we enjoyed ourselves and bond with our managers
also Kuya Allan polygel our nails as a remembrance.

G. Work Immersion Highlights/What I Have Learned In W1/Takeaways

Through work immersion, I was able to explore, interact with people of

various personality, get to know the ideals of my future career and most
importantly, get to develop my skills in my chosen field. With the hustle, fun and
learning that l've had in my work immersion I also get to know myself.
