Week 07 - Task: Assignment - Someone that I admire

The person I admire the most is Cesar Vallejo, he was born in the Andean city
of Santiago de Chuco in northern Peru, he has been a Peruvian poet and writer
very recognized in the literary world and was one of the greatest innovators of
universal poetry of the twentieth century. I admire very much the great effort and
passion he had from a very young age for the literary field despite the
adversities and discrimination he faced when he was a child.

Among the most important and recognized works of Cesar Vallejo we find: the
Black Heralds, the Trilce, Paco Yunque, etc. It should also be noted that in his
poetry he reflects the political changes that the country was facing at that time.
In 1920 he was even taken to prison and while imprisoned he wrote Escalas
melografiadas. In spite of being a great novelist, the only Nobel Prize in
Literature in Peru went to Mario Vargas Llosa.

Finally, for me he is the best writer that can and can exist in Peru, to have
knowledge of this great literary figure is necessary and fundamental in our
culture.
