IV. PROCEDURES
A. Preliminary Activities
A. Reviewing the previous  Asks the students about the previous lesson on what
lesson or presenting the are the different hand tools used to fix computers
new lesson and its uses then the safety rules for hand tools.
Prepare the students for the development of the target skills
through the given tasks and activities.
 Shows two pictures that show troubleshooting and
upgrading system unit parts.
B. Establishing a purpose for
Literacy: What are the steps/procedures involved in
the Lesson
troubleshooting or upgrading a system unit?
Emphasis on: In troubleshooting and upgrading a system
unit, we need to undergo the proper procedures of
disassembling and assembling a system unit.
C. Presenting  Shows a picture of a system unit and calls some
examples/instances of the students to label the parts of the system unit.
new lesson Literacy: Defining a system unit
Emphasis on: How important the system unit
D. Discussing new concepts  Discuss the different parts of the system unit and
and practicing new skills # their functions- Motherboard, Hard Disk Drive,
1 Power Supply Unit, CD/DVD Drives, Graphics
 Card, Sound Card, CPU Fan and Heat Sink, System
Fan, CPU, and Modem Card.
 Emphasize the importance of each part in the overall
function of the computer system.
E. Discussing new concepts  Introduce the proper steps in disassembling and
and practicing new skills # assembling the system unit through demonstration
2 and video.
Movement Literacy: Grasp the participation of students
F. Developing Mastery Tasks for Students with special needs:
- Class attendance checker
- Documenter

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: The class will be divided

into 5 groups. Given the necessary components, materials,
and tools, each group will perform the steps in assembling
and dissembling the system unit Every group is only given
20 minutes to do the group activity.

G. Finding practical Having this knowledge and skill in PC Assembly and
application of concepts and Disassembly, do you think it’s useful? In what sense? You
skills in daily living can cite a scenario.
H. Making Generalizations The primary function of the computer system unit is to hold
and abstractions about the all the other components together and protect the sensitive
lesson electronic parts from the outside elements.

Follow-up Questions:
