I. Câu điều kiện loại 1:

- Cấu trúc:

If + S + V(s/es) S + will + V

(If + thì hiện tại đơn) S + thì tương lai đơn

Ví dụ: If Sara studies hard, she will get high mark
- Cấu trúc Unless:
Unless + S + V(s/es), S + will/will not + V-inf
- Cách dùng
1) Dự đoạn hành động, tình huống có thể diễn ra ở hiện tại hoặc tương lai
VD: If Anna gets up early, she’ll go to the meeting on time
2) Nêu lên đề nghị hoặc gợi ý:
VD: If Jenny buys me candies, I’ll take her to school
3) Cảnh báo, đe dọa
VD: If you don’t do your homework, you will be punished by the teacher
- Đặc biệt:
1) Có thể dùng thì hiện tại đơn ở cả 2 mệnh đề khi câu mang nghĩa sự việc/hành
động này xảy ra theo sau sự việc/hành động khác
VD: Give it to Jenny if you meet her
2) Trường hợp câu mệnh lệnh:
If + hiện tại đơn, (do not) V-inf
VD: If you listen to what Jenny says, do everything more perfectly now
3) Dùng trong trường hợp đề nghị, gợi ý, khuyên răn mà nhấn mạnh về hành
động
If + hiện tại đơn, S + would like to/must/have to/should… + V-inf
VD: Sarah should feel more relax if she joins the concert

- Cấu trúc

If + S + V(ed)/were, S + would/could (not) + V-inf

- Lưu ý:
 Động từ tobe ở mệnh đề If luôn được chia ở were với tất cả các ngôi
 Ngoài would, could, chúng ta có thể sử dụng các từ như might, should, had
to, outh to trong mệnh đề chính
- Cách dùng:
(1) Diễn tả một hành động, sự việc không có thật ở hiện tại
Vd: If I were rich, I would buy a car
(2) Dùng để khuyên bảo, đề nghị hoặc yêu cầu
Vd: if I were you, I wouldn’t cheat on the test
