Have you ever wondered what the Northeast District

INTEREST Council does day to day, week to week? Do you feel

Jan. 29 inspired to support the District as a whole and give back


SESSION to its Chapters? Come learn more about running for
District Council via Zoom at 8pm!

Prior to NED Convention, Chapters must submit their

DELEGATE & delegate and proxy forms. This lets the NED Council know

March 1 which of your Chapter members will be represent your


PROXY FORMS Chapter at Convention and which other Chapter will
represent you if none of your members attend.

DISTRICT Anyone running for 2023-2024 District Office is


expected to create and submit a "packet" electronically
OFFICER March 1 prior to convention. These materials include a resume(s),

PACKETS plans for office, and letters of recommendation.

Northeast District Convention is the annual business


meeting of the Northeast District and the best
NED Mar. 17-18 opportunity to socialize with Sisters and Brothers from
across the District and meet some of your National
CONVENTION College Park, MD Leadership representatives. Make travel and fundraising
plans NOW to attend in March 2023!

Every two years, the joint organizations of Tau Beta Sigma


& Kappa Kappa Psi hold National Convention. This multi-

Many Chapters elect new officers in the spring


semester. Plan to fill out the Chapter Officer

System (OMRS) within 30 days after elections
occur. Contact the NED President with any
paperwork questions/concerns.

At ANY point in the year that you initiate new Active Members and/or
Honorary Members, their subsequent paperwork and monies are due to be at

ONGOING DEADLINES NHQ within 30 days of their Third Degree. Complete the Initiate Registration
Form and Honroary Membership Form in the OMRS, and submit your monies
as described above.
COUNSELORS' AWARD
WHAT IS IT?
The Counselors' Award of the Northeast District of Tau Beta Sigma
recognizes a Chapter who exemplified the mission of Tau Beta Sigma
and surpassed their own measure of success throughout the year. It is
a high honor bestowed to one Chapter each year on the District level,
and finalist eligibility tracks the Chapter's behaviors throughout the
academic year in addition to their Finalist Presentation. If you have
any questions about the Counselors' Award, please reach out to
nedcounselor@tbsigma.org!

CRITERIA
On-time submission of all Chapter Documents (Constitution,
Budget, and MEP) to the District Council
On-time submission of all National Paperwork and fees throughout
the year*
Completion of the Focus on Five Red Stripe by the deadline
Successful completion (or in-progress if in spring semester) of the
Membership Education Process and a new membership class for
the Chapter
Chapter is representing themselves at NED Convention 2023

*Chapters who meet the "Early Bird" deadlines for National paperwork
will be given special consideration.

EVERY Chapter is eligible at the start of the academic year! Remain


eligible by fulfilling the criteria listed above. For Greater Bands!
