1. Introduction:
This is a research writing discussion in which three different research items have been discussed
in part-1. The first research item is a published textbook “The Craft Research” written by
“Booth, W.C. el, 2003”. This published textbook contains different chapters but our focus is on
chapter 6,” Using Sources”. Second research item is a business case study about the Hard- Brexit
deal written by” John Van Reenen”. This business case study demonstrates the different factors
and economic conditions of Hard-Brexit deal. The last research item is a published journal
article “The Financial Crisis of 2007-2009”. This published journal article gives information
about the different factors that caused the 2007-2009 financial crisis and the impact on the world
economy. Part-2 of this module is written reflective statement that has covered the reflection on
gained learning, usefulness of such learning to me and my areas of interest of study and
importance of learning.
2.0 PART-1
2.1 Interesting about the research Item
Journal Article
The interesting thing that is present in this item is a Hard-Brexit deal and its impact on the global
economy. Hard-Brexit was an agreement by which the UK will not be a part of any single market
and single country of the European Union. So the effect of this deal was on the UK
economy(Armstrong and Portes 2016).
Journal Article
The journal article contains information about the Hard-Brexit deal with the European Union.
This item is interesting as this gives knowledge about the deal and impacts on the
3
economy(Armstrong and Portes 2016). So this research item is interesting for getting knowledge
about the deal and their financial impacts on the economy.
Journal Article
The journal article helps to understand about the Hard-Brexit deal. This gives the information
about the Hard-Brexit deal due to which there was an economic breakdown occurred in the
UK(Baker, Bloom et al. 2016). This research item helped to know about online journals and their
evaluation to support the research literature effectively.

2.4.2 Second key point
Planning is also an important factor for good academic and research writing. From chapter 6
“Using Sources” planning is essential for writing a good academic and research writing as it
improves the quality of a written work(Booth, Booth et al. 2003). The use of planning is an
essential part of every business deal. The research paper tells about the Hard-Brexit deal but
there was a lack of planning in Hard-Brexit deal and due to which the UK suffered from different
problems. The case study also tells that planning is not used in different business deals(Berger
and Bouwman 2013). The lack of planning caused the 2007-2009 financial crises that collapsed
many countries economy(Thakor 2015).

3.0 Part 2
Introduction:
Part-2 of this module is written reflective statement that has covered the reflection on gained
learning, usefulness of such learning to me and my areas of interest of study and importance of
learning. From this module, as leaner some basic knowledge about different research items have
been gained effectively that will be helpful to me when I will conduct different researches and
case studies at upper level of my degrees.

Conclusion:
The purpose of this academic writing article is to understand the different modules and their
implementation in daily routine life. Academic writing research contains different modules that
are used in different conditions. The first module is the use of proper sources in written work that
helps to understand the different techniques for the understanding of research and academic
writing. The second module is a research article that helps to understand the journal articles and
their importance. The last module is a business case study that deals with the business case study
