E. Concepts: Propaganda in the broadest sense is the technique of


influencing human action by the manipulation of
representations. These representations may take spoken,
written, pictorial or musical form. Some Propaganda
techniques used by author are as follows:

a. Bandwagon – The writer might suggest that


everyone is doing something or thinking in a certain
way and that the reader should do the same.
b. Testimonial - when a product is endorsed by using
words from famous people or figures of authority.
c. Transfer - when a product is endorsed using the
picture of a famous person, things, ideas, or
symbolisms but no words from the said person,
thing, ideas, or symbolisms.
d. Glittering Generalities- To use words that reveal
the writer’s opinion and tend to make the listener
feel good without understanding why.
