Task Description Class Test

The belief systems and origin narratives of a community may affect the
Statement of Inquiry development of their doctrines traditions and values. 

Students engage with an overview of Church History for the purposes


of identifying and explaining diversity of Christian tradition and
Context and expression while evaluating the continuity of the Church’s core
Relationship to the mission.
Statement of Inquiry Students will complete a short test which assesses their understanding
of the unit content through multiple choice, true or false, short and
extended answer questions.

Assessment Task Details

Task description:
• During your Christian Studies lesson, you will complete a class test.
• You will have 40 minutes to respond to 13 questions reviewing your knowledge of the
Church History
o The first 10 questions will be a combination of multiple choice, matching and fill-in-
the-blank activities which will review key details of content covered in this unit.
o The final 3 questions require short / extended written responses

Time Allowed: 40 minutes

Preparation:
• In your preparations, focus on the videos, notes and worksheets that have been featured in
your classwork.
• Content for revision:
o How did Christianity start?
o What happened to Jesus and the disciples after the events of Easter?
o Who was Saul/Paul? Why is he significant to the Early Church?
o How are modern churches connected to the Early Church?
