Activity 3

1. To maximize the potential of your product to be sold, you need to correlate it to the
demand in the market and the needs of the costumers. As we all know Covid-19 is still
around the globe and all of us does not want to be infected by the said disease, that is
why the Government set rules and regulations to follow, in order to lessen the infection
rate. Face mask is one of the many things the Government recommended us to use
whenever we go outside, and most of us use disposable ones that needs to be replaced
after a certain amount of time. The best way to sell big time in the market is if you
introduce a new type of face mask that is long lasting, does not need to be replaced
after hours of use, but still have the integrity, the reliability, and durability of the said
product. This is because there are face mask sold in the market but only consists of
cloths layered to act as protection, which we know is not enough to protect us not like
the disposable surgical masks that we use. So if we fuse them together it will benefit
everyone and will make you a fortune.
2. To have the trust of my costumers, I need not to hesitate in using the finest and enough
amount of materials for the products. I will ask for their suggestions on what they would
like to be improved on my product sold whether material wise or design wise. I would
also not stick with only one product to sell, so I will research and observe more what the
highest demand on the market is and make a better and improved reliable product
version of that to sell.
3. In producing the product, the only hard part of it there is where to have the starting
amount of money to start the production, if that part is done then production will be
smooth, because one would not jump in and sell a certain product without the
knowledge and confidence on how to make and produce it. If the product introduced
will boom then production of the said item or product will continue but now on a larger
scale.
4. My potential market that I would work on would be internationally. My business and
product would start off locally, just the city or province where I live. And then later on
would start to pique the interest of other people from afar through marketing it via
social media, so this includes my market nationally. If things would go the way I want,
then I will start introducing my products to big companies that will help me sell my
products internationally.
5. In order to get my business permit, which would be the permit to start up my business, I
need to complete these requirements:
a. DTI Business Name Certificate- I need to get this at a DTI office or Negosyo
center and complete the requirements needed to get the certification, then pay
the fee for it
b. Latest Community Tax Certificate (Cedula)- I can get this at our City Hall
c. Brgy. Clearance- I need to get this at our Barangay Hall
d. Location Clearance- Go to the Office of the Municipal/City Planning and
Development in the locality where the building to be constructed is under its
jurisdiction, and follow the requirements to get the clearance
e. Certificate of Occupancy
f. Building Permit- I would need to comply with the Department of Building’s
requirements which are; Ownership of the lot property, Application forms, Proof
of Property, Copy of License of Engineers and Architects.
g. Picture or Sketch of the Site
h. Fire Safety or Inspection Permit- I will ask the documents in fire insurance and
recommendations from the fire safety inspections
i. Electrical Inspection Certificate- Certificate issued by the Building Official to the
owner/applicant as a requirement for the installation of power lines to a
building/structure and certifies the completeness of the installation of all
electrical wirings.
j. Sanitary Permit- Go to your Barangay Hall to secure a barangay clearance,
proceed to the City or Municipal Hall, asses the building, proceed to the
Electrical Department, assessment of Fees, secure Health and Sanitary Permit,
environmental Permit needed, fire Permit Fee.
6. Barriers needed to overcome are the starting money that you will need to open up the
business, marketing strategy to get the attention of costumers, innovation and
improvisation of your product, and international trade restriction such as tariffs and
quotas.
