III.NARRATIVE REPORT

SY 2022 - 2023

First Semester

SEMESTRAL TASK: Tree Planting

Trees make significant contributions to a clean environment because they enhance air
quality by creating oxygen and absorbing carbon dioxide during photosynthesis. Additionally, it
cleans the air by eliminating dust and absorbing noxious substances like carbon monoxide,
sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen dioxide, then allowing the rain to wash them away. As the earth
battles erosion that leads to landslides, tree roots keep the soil in place. Additionally, it collects
and holds rainwater, which lessens runoff and post-storm sediment buildup. Additionally, it aids
in replenishing the groundwater supply, stops the flow of pollutants into streams, and reduces
flooding. Its fruits give nourishment, while its dropped leaves also form excellent compost and
enhance the soil's condition.

Second Semester

SEMESTRAL TASK: Tree Parenting

When I started taking care of my seedlings, I felt excited and a bit nervous. I carefully selected the
seeds and planted them in soil-filled pots with good drainage. I made sure to water them regularly
and placed them in a sunny spot in my home.

As the seedlings started to sprout, I monitored their growth closely, adjusting the amount of water
and sunlight they received as needed. I also made sure to fertilize them with a natural, organic

fertilizer to help them grow strong and healthy.

As they continued to grow, I transplanted them into larger pots with fresh soil, taking care not to
damage their delicate roots. I also pruned them regularly to promote healthy growth and prevent
overcrowding.

Overall, taking care of my seedlings taught me patience, perseverance, and the importance of
paying attention to the little details. It also gave me a sense of satisfaction and joy as I watched them
grow and thrive under my care.
