ADMINSTRATIVE ORDER NO. 2022

“REORGANIZING THE BARANGAY DISASTER RISK REDUCTION

MANAGEMENT SUB – COMMITTEES AND SEARCH AND RESCUE
TEAM PURSUANT TO REPUBLIC ACT NO. 10121”

Whereas; Republic Act (RA) 10121 provides for the strengthening of the Philippines Disaster
Risk Reduction and Management System, providing for the National Disaster risk Reduction and
Management Framework and institutionalizing the National Disaster Risk Reduction and
Management Plan;

Whereas; the said act also provides for the reorganization of barangay Disaster Risk Reduction
and Management Committee (BDRRMC) in every Barangay, to include the Search and Rescue
task Unit Team;

Whereas; the Search and Rescue Team shall be responsible for supervising and expediting the
planned and controlled movement of the affected residents in times emergency or disaster
conduction.

Now therefore; I, Walden Domingo P. Brusas, Punong Barangay of Cadlan, Pili,

Camarines Sur, by virtue of power vested in me by the law, do hereby order :

Section 1. COMPOSITION. There is hereby organized a BDRRMC Sub – Committee and
Search and Rescue to provide immediate support and assistance in times of disaster or calamity
to be composed of the following:

Section 2. FUNCTIONS. The Barangay Disaster Search and Rescue Team shall have the
following functions:

1. Prepare for and respond to any emergency incident, such as natural disaster or any
incident that may cause interruption to regular business operations.

2. Responsible for supervising and expediting the planned and controlled movement of all
residents in an emergency situation under the general direction of the BDRRMC
Chairperson.

3. Identify and designate search and Rescue staging areas and critical routes.

4. Ensure the integration of disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation into local
development plans, programs and budgets as a strategy in sustainable development and
poverty reduction.

5. Recommend the implementation of forced or preemptive evacuation of local residents, if

necessary; and

6. Perform such other related functions that may be assigned by the Chairperson.

Section 3. EFFECTIVITY. This Administrative Order shall take effect immediately.
