1.00 GENERALLY

1.01 Preliminary Items

The Preliminary Items as set out hereunder are deemed to apply to the
whole of the Works as shown on the Drawings and/or described in the
Schedule of Works and the Contractor shall allow for complying with
the same and for any cost in connection therewith. The Contractor shall
note that any clause or item listed in this section which has NOT been
priced, it shall be deemed that the cost of such clause ori items have
been included elsewhere in this Section or in the Schedule of Works
sectionand those unpriced Clause or items shall be considered as free
of charge and no claims will be entertained.

2.00 GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS

This Tender describes in general from the material and workmanship


required in the following :-

3.00 SCOPE AND GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORKS

The scope of work under this Contract, the elements of works


comprises but not limit to the following:

1 Preliminaries
2 Building Works (All Provisional)
3 External Works Within Lot Boundary (All Provisional)
4 Provisional Sums

Together with all associated, necessary and/or obvious works as


shown on the drawings listed in this document and/or described in this
Specification and/or stated in the finishes schedule and Scope of
Works including all necessary temporary, protection and appurtenant
works for contract completion.

4.00 WORKS TO BE EXECUTED TO THE ENTIRE SATISFACTION OF


THE SUPERINTENDING OFFICER (S.O.)

All works shall be executed to the entire satisfaction of the S.O.


according to the drawings and specification.

5.00 SITE PREPARATION

The Contractor will thereafter accept the site AS FOUND on the Date
of Possesion of the site, and at his own expense prepare the Site. This
is a general item only. For more detailed information, the Contractor
shall refer and examined the drawings accompanying the document
and shall attend mandatory Site visit/ inspection to ascertain the Scope
of Works to be undertaken.

6.00 SITE CONDITIONS

6.01 Site The site of the proposed Works is


located at DI NO. 5, JALAN MERAH
JAMBU U9/8, KAYANGAN HEIGHTS,
SEKSYEN U9, 40150 SHAH ALAM,
SELANGOR DARUL EHSAN.

The Contractor shall be deemed to


have visited the Site of the Works and
make himself throughly acquainted with
the location, facilities for access,
services, supply of and conditions
effecting labour and materials and all
other Site conditions prior to starting
works. No claims will be enterrtained on

6.06 Methodology of The tenderer shall submit as and when

7.00 FORM OF CONTRACT

The Form of Contract into which the Contractor will be required to enter
in connection with this project is the " Standard Form of Contract
Where Bills Of Quantities Part Of The Contract PAM 2006 (With
Quantites) PRIVATE EDITION"

The Condition of the Contract are to be read in conjuntion with the


Contract Documents, Specifications, Contract Drawings and Schedule
of Works etc., and a copy of the form is available for inspection by
Tenderers on the Tender table during working hours before the Tender
closing date.

8.00 AMPLICATIONS TO CONTRACT

8.01 Generally

Throughout this Specification, all instructions are directed to the


Contractor.

8.02 Workmen's Compensation and/or Emplotee's Social Security Act,


1969

The Contractor shall allow for and as condition precedent to the


commencement of any work under this Contract,to take out at his own
expenses with an Insurance company to be approved by the Employer
in writing a policy or policies and register his employees and contribute
under the Social Security Scheme (SOCSO) where applicable and
indemnify the Employer including all the Consultants from all liabilities
arising and of claims by any and every workmen employed in and for
the perfomance of this Contract for payment of compensation under or
by virtue of the Workmen's Compensation Ordinance or Employee's
Social Security Act 1969 or nay other law and from all costs and
expenses incidental or consequential thereto. The amount to be
covered shall be 15% of Contract Sum.

8.03 Policies Of Insurance Against Injury to Persons and Property

The Contractor shall secure the due performance of these indemnities


by entering into proper and sufficient policies of insurance in a
minimum amount of RM 1,000,000.00 on any claim and series of
claims arising out of any one event.

8.04 Insurance of Works Againts Fire, Etc

The Contractor shall in joint names of the Employer and the Contractor
insure against loss and damage as in Clause 20 of the form of Contract
for the full value thereof of work executed and all unfixed materials and
goods upon the Site but excluding plant tools and equipment, and shall
keep such work, materials and goods as insured until the Works are
completed and handed over.

8.04 Insurance of Works Againts Fire, Etc (Cont'd)

The Contractor shall upon settlement of any claims under the policies
aforesaid proceed with due diligence to build or repair the materials or
goods destroyed or damaged. All monies received under such policies
are to be paid to the Contractor by installments under Certificates of
the S.O. and the Contractor shall not be entitled to any payment in
respect of the materials or goods destroyed or damaged other the
monies received under the said policies.

Such insurance shall be with a company or companies approved by the


S.O. and the Contractor shall deposit with him the policies and
premium receipts, should the Contractor make default, the employer
may insure as aforesaid and deduct the premium paid from any monies
received under the said policies.

8.05 Discrepancies

All Tenderers are deemed to have read the Specifications carefully in


conjuction with all Tender Drawings. Any discrepencies between these
documents are to be brought to the attention of the S.O. and clarified
prior to the closing of Tenders.

Should any said discrepencies be discrepencies be discovered at a


later date, the drawings shall take precedent and the decision of the
S.O. will be final and any extra costs due to Contractor as a result of
this will NOT be entertained whatsoever.

8.06 Ascertainment of Prices of Variation

No variation shall invalidate the contract. All properly authorised


variations shall, unless otherwise agree, be valued in accordance with
Clause 25 of the Standard Form of Contract.

8.07 Inspection of Works

The S.O. shall inspect and approve setting out of elements of work
before installation takes place. Similarly the S.O. shall inspect the
support and internal framing of the elements of the work before

8.08 Protection of Existing Works

The Contractor must take steps and precaution by providing all means
of protection to prevent damage to all existing completed works such
as ceramic tiles, suspended ceiling, wall finishes etc. including existing
M&E services and fittings. He will be responsible for any damages
done in consequences of this operation and shall make good at his

8.09 Time and Progress Charts / Schedule

The Contractor shall prepare bar charts showing dates for


commencement and completion of the Works and shall submit these
charts to the S.O. fro approval. Once agreed by the S.O., these charts
shall not be departed from without the written approval of the S.O.

8.10 Overtime

If, in the opinion of the S.O., the progress of the works is behind
schedule, the S.O. shall have the right to instruct the Contractor to
increase his plant and labour force and/or to continue work beyond
normal working hours in order to maintain the progress of the work to

8.11 Notices and Fees

The Contractor shall conform to the provisions of Government


Ordinances and Local By-Laws and the necessary notices required by
the Public Authority, paid all fees due thereto and apply for necessary
permits and licenses.

8.12 Drawing

Two (2) sets of Drawings shall be furnished to the Contractor free of


cost for his own use until the completion of the Contract when they
shall be returned to the S.O. During the Contract one set shall be
available on site to the S.O. at all reasonable times.

8.13 Order of Work

The whole of the Works shall proceed at such times as may be ordered
by the S.O. and has Stipulated under item 8.09.

8.14 Attendance

Each trade shall be attended upon, cart away for and made good after
and all work in the nature of jobbing work required in connection
therewith shall be performed by the Contractor at no extra costs.

8.15 Expenditure of Work

Possession of the Site or the relevant part of the Site will be handed
over to the Contractor immediately after the Tender is accepted in

8.15 Expenditure of Work (Cont'd)

The Contractor will at all times considers the other persons living
and/or working on the Site and avoid unnecessary noice and
disturbance. During day time seven (7) days a week, the business
hours are operating as usual and the Contractor shall ensure that their
work does not interrupt the Employers and other tenants business

8.16 Water

The Contractor shall arrange water supply required for the use in the
Works, including any required by Nominated Sub- Contractors by
tapping from designated point approved by the Building Owner and the
pay all charges incurred. Allow for all temporary plumbing and storage,
shifting and adaptig where so required by the S.O. All water to be used
for the Works shall be fresh, clean and pure.

8.17 Tools, Machinaries and Plant

The Contractor shall provide all tools, machinaries and plant necessary
for proper completion of the Contract.

8.18 Mock up and Samples

Mock-up and Samples of proposed materials and workmanship


for architectural, mechanical and electrical services shall be
submitted to the S.O. for approval. These mock up and samples shall
be kept by the S.O. who shall have the authority to reject any such
material or workmanship that does not correspond with the approved

8.19 Defective Works

The Contractor shall be responsible for all defects of workmanship,


whether executed by his workmen or staff, or by the workmen or staff
of any Sub-Contractor, such errors or defects to be remedied to the
satisfaction of the S.O. and at the cost of the Contractor.

8.20 Responsibility for Specialists

The Contractor shall take full responsibility of any damage done


caused by any specialist firm or firms and shall exempt the Employer
from any consequences.

8.21 Foremen

During all working hours a competent general foreman shall be in


attendance on site. Directions given to him by the S.O. shall be held to
have been given to the Contractor.

8.22 Security and Security Pass/ Checks

The Contractor will employ a watchman on the Works and shall be held
responsible for any damage to the works or loss of materials.

The Contractor shall be required to submit the full list and particulars of
workers as per Appendix III to facilitate security checks of workers by
S.O/ Employer and relevant authorities.

8.23 Payments

Payments shall be madeby the Employer upon the S.O's Certification


within a period as stated in the Standard Form of Contract.

8.24 Site Meeting

The Contractor shall attennd all Site Meetings as and when required.
Only persons with authority to make decisions and accept responsibility
shall attend such meeting.

8.25 Leave Perfect

The Contractor shall remove all rubbish and superfluous materials from
the Site of the Works with all reasonable speed from time to time AND
as instructed by the S.O. at completion and finally leave the Site clean,
clear and unencumbered.

8.26 Leave Perfect (Cont'd)

Clean all glass (inside and out), clease floors, woodwork,steps,


cisterns, water waste preventations, sinks, lavatories, w.c.'s and other
sanitary fittings to the entire satisfaction of the S.O.

At completion, leave every part of the Works in a sound and perfect


condition, free from all defects and to the entire satisfaction of the S.O.

8.27 Virtual/Practical Completion

The works shall be understood to be virtually completed on the day the


Works are handed over to the Employer.

8.28 Maintenance Period

Allow for the maintenance of the Works for a period of 12 months


(Defects Liabilty Period) from the date of practical/ virtual completion.
All defects arising within this period shall be made good by the
Contractor without any additional cost and to the entire satisfaction of

8.29 Lighting and Power

The Contractor may use existing lighting and electric power source tap
from designated point approved by Employer for use on the works
including any required for use by Nominated Sub-Contractors and
provide all temporary connection, fitting etc. and clear away apparatus
and make good on completion of works on site.

8.30 Protection of Public and Private Services

Protect, uphold and maintain staircases or other working access and all
existing and in use pipes, ducts, sewers, services main, overhead
cables, etc. during the execution of the Works, unless otherwise

The Contractor shall make good any damage caused at his own
expenses or any pay any costs / charges in connection therewith.

Where the services are to be temporarily terminated or diverted, the


Contractor is to give the necessary notices to the appropriate
Authorities concerned and arrange for the work to be carried out and to
pay costs and charges involved or it will be deducted in full from the

The Contractor shall verify and obtain and necessary approval prior to
the removal of any disused services encountered and to allow for
blocking off ends, etc. as appropriate where directed.

8.31 Protection of Adjoining Existing Buildings, Occupants, Etc.

The Contractor is to allow for all requisite shoring, needling, strutting


and other supports fans, screens, barricades, etc., for the protection of
operatives, site,staff,occupants, adjoining property and the public, and
later, adapt and maintan them as necessary and pay all necessary
charges in connection.

8.32 Avoiding Nuisance

The Contractor shall carry out the works in such manner as to cause as
little inconvenience and nuisance to the tenants and public.

He shall not obstruct, as far as possible, the normal rights of ways of


the users of the roads, passageways and where this is necessary and
unavoidable, he shall provide barriers, warning lights, etc., required for
proper traffic control including getting the necessary permits from the
Police Departments and other Local Authorities and paying all fees in
connection therewith.

All noice producing work shall only be allowed after operation hours,
along with air polluting exercises.

8.33 Discrepancies in Drawings

The Contractor shall responsible for checking all drawings issued to


him and if he finds descrepancies in the Drawings he shall, immediately
and before proceding with the Works, give to the S.O. a written notice
specifying the discrepancy of divergence.

The Contractor shall not execute any works, which contain such
discrepancies, unless so directed by the S.O. The Contractor will bear
the extra expenses incurred on any works should he undertake these
works prior to notification and/or directions.

8.34 Contract Drawings

The drawings used in the preparation of these tender forms parts of the
Contract and are listed in the List Of Drawings in the tender
documentation.

8.35 Pricing of Preliminaries

Notwithstanding the provision in the Contract Form, the method of


payment for additional preliminaries due to the Contractor during the
approved extension of time shll be based on the priced items in this
section.

Claims on idling of plant, equipment and labour during the approved


extension of time will not be entertained.

8.36 Dust Prevention and Protection of Existing

The Contractor shall provide temporary prevention such as plastic


sheets or other suitable meethods against ay nuisance or damage by
dust to all existing property and its occupants in the vicinity and he will
be held responsible for any complaints, damage or claims in this

8.37 First Aid Kit and Safety Apparels

Provide and maintain first aid kits at suitable location on the Site to
ensure that the facility is readily available without delay if accidents
happen. The Contractor shall also provide suitable and sufficient safety
apparels such as dust mask, ear plug, safety boots and helmets etc.

8.38 Progress Photographs

The Contractor shall provide Five (5) sets of photographical reports


which consist of minimum 10 pieces photographs in the propoer
documentation to the satisfaction of the S.O during the events as listed
below :-

- Before Site Posession by The Contractor


- During/Mid Construction Stages
- After Project Completion Stage

8.39 Removal of Rubbish, Etc.

Allow for sweeping floors from time to time and clearing and carting
away all ruubish as it accumulated during the progress of the Works,
and this shall be on daily basis including any cause by Sub-Contractors
and other specialists employed on the the site, and on completion clear
and cart away all superfluous materials, scaffolding and plant. The
Contractor shall also carry out daily cleaning and maintenance to area
surrounding and leading to entrance of the site.

The Contractor shall provide a rubbish dumper at a designated location


as advised and approved by the S.O.

8.40 Cleaning Down

Allow for thoroughly cleansing all floors, walls, glass, railing and M&E
fittings, eradicating stains and splashes, adjusting and oiling all
ironmongeries and leaving the premises clean and fit for occupation at
completion and for leaving the Works and site adjacent therero clean
and tidy, all to entire satisfaction of the S.O.

8.41 Final Completion

Final Completion and the act of making final payment of the balance of
the contract price shall in no way be interpreted as complete
exoneration of the Contractor from any defects that may arise due to
causes attributable to negligence of the Contractor or to inferior
materials or poor workmanship provided by him.

8.42 Weekly Reports

The Contractor shall prepare and submit to the S.O. weekly reports on
the progress of the works by sections or by Trades, the number of
workmen employed, materials delivered, the extent and the type of
plant employed, weather conditions and generally yhe progresss

8.43 Attendance Upon Nominated Sub- Contactors (if any)

The contractor is to price where indicated later in these schedule of


Works for provding general attendance upon Norminated Sub-
Contractors and such general attendance shall include, but is not
limited to the following :

i) Ascertaining from Sub-Contractors all particulars relating to their


work in regard to sizes and positions in which chases, motices and
similar items are required to be formed or left. The Contractor will
be responsible for any additional cost incurred as a result of any
omission on his part in this respect ;

8.43 Attendance Upon Nominated Sub- Contactors (if any) (Cont'd)

ii) Affording unrestricted use of standing scaffolding, messrooms,


sanitary accomodation and welfare facilities.

iii) Providing reasonable amount of space for Sub- Contractor's office


and storage accommodation;

iv Providing all artifficial lighting and water for Sub-Contractor's work


subjeect to item (vi) under " Nominated" Sub-Contractor's
Responsibilities";

v) Supplying all setting out information;

vi) Giving all necessary dimensions and taking responsibility for their
accuracy;

vii) Providing hoisting facilities for Sub- Contractor's goods and


materials, but excluding plant and tools belonging to the Sub-
Contractor and other bulky and/or heavy equipment which forms
part of the Sub-Contractor's permanent installation;

viii) Providing temporary propping and strengthening of structure to


facilities the safe handling of bulky and/or heavy equipment to their
permanent positions;

ix) Assisting the Sub-Contractor in hoisting of bulky and/or heavy


equipment to minimise duplicating hoisting facilities on site;

x) Providing unrestricted use of passenger hoists (if any) to Sub-


Contractor's workmen;

xi) Making available temporary power suppliers required for the


execution of the Sub- Contract works. This is in addition to the
Contractor's own requirement.

xii) Arranging for any special power supplies required by Sub-


Contractors;

xiii) Removing debris from collection points within the site to


Contractor's own disposal dump. Adequate number of collection
points shall be designed;

xiv) Taking full responsibility for, and covering and protecting against all
loss or damage to all executed and partly executed sub- contract
work and all material and goods properly brought on site for
inclusion in the sub-contract works whether or not included in any
certificate including keeping ratifying all necessary joint records

xv) organising and chairing regular Site meetings amongst Sub-


Contractors, Suppliers, etc. (Submit to the S.O. three (3) copies of
the minutes of such meetings).

Where "special attendance", is required in connection with any sub-


contract works these shall be additional requirement specifically
described, and are to be separately priced.

8.44 Norminated Sub-Contractor's Responsibilities (if any)

The Contractor shall note that the Nominated Sub-Contractors will be


instructed to include in their respective Sub- Contract Sum, inter alia,
the cots in connection with the following :

i) Unloading getting in, storing and handling of all goods and


materials subject to item ( ii ), below;

ii) Unloading, getting in, storing, handling and hoisting of plant and
tools belonging to the Sub-Contractor and bulkyand/or heavy
equipment which forms part of the Sub-Contractor's installation.
(The Sub-Contractor may take the necessary arrangement to hire
agreed charges. The Sub-Contractor shall inform tthe Main
Contractor of the proposed route of movement of bulky and/or
heavy equipment to allow the Main Contractor to organise and
strengthen the existing structure;

These statement together with receipted invoice of Nominated Sub-


Contractors/Nominated Suppliers will be accepted as
"reasonable proof" of payment by the Contractor to Nominated Sub-
Contractors/Nominated Suppliers.

At the times scheduled for submission of progress payment claims for


inclusion in interim certificates, the Contractor shall submit to the
Quantity Surveyor a statement from each of the Norminated Sub-
Contractors/ Norminated Suppliers showing :

i) The gross amount claimed; and


ii) The amount received from the Contractor to-date

These statement together with receipted invoice of Nominated Sub-


Contractors/Nominated Suppliers will be accepted as
"reasonable proof" of payment by the Contractor to Nominated Sub-
Contractors/Nominated Suppliers.

Payments to Nominated Sub-Contractors/ Nominated Suppliers will be


made through the Contractor. Under special circumstances and in the
event of default in payment by the Contractor to Norminated Sub -
Contractors / Nomminated Suppliers, the employer reserves the right to
issue direct payment to the Nominated Sub- Contractors / Nominated
Suppliers and deduct the amount thereof from any sums due to the
contractor. The exercise of this power shalll not create any privity of
contract between the Employer and the Nominated Sub-Contractors/
Nominated Suppliers.

On completion of the Contract, the Contractor is required to shown


proof that all payments due to the Nominated Sub-Contractors/
Nominated Suppliers have been fully paid. The Contractor will be
required to provide a letter of indemnity to the Employer against any
claims by Sub-Contractors or Suppliers.

9.00 SCHEDULE OF CONDITIONS OF BUILDING CONTRACT

If the Tenderer considers that any of the clauses consisting in the


Standard Form of Contract PAM 2006 (With Quantites) PRIVATE
EDITION", involves expense the Contractor shall allow hereunder the
money value.

10.00 AS BUILT DRAWINGS

The Contractor shall provide the S.O five (5) sets of as built drawings
for ID works and M&E works where requested by the S.O., and all as
built drawings must be endorsed by Licensed Surveyor.

11.00 SHOP DRAWINGS

The Contractor shall provide the S.O there (3) sets of shop drawings
for renovation works and M&E works where requested by the S.O., and
all shop drawings must be endorsed by relevant consultants.

12.00 TESTING AND COMMISSIONING

On completion the Contractor should allow the whole installation of


M&E services to be inspected, tested and commissioned in accordance
with the requirements and to the satisfaction of the S.O.

The Contractor shall liase with the Local Authorities with regard to the
CCC requirements. In the event that the Contractor fails to arrange for
such inspection and testing on time, the S.O. reserves the right to
appoint other persons to arrange the inspection and testing. All cost
incurred shall be borne by the Contractor.

13.00 WORKING HOURS

No restrcition are placed on the Contractor on the working hours on


site, but he shall comply with all Rules and Regulations affecting works
and labour and also the National Public Holiday etc. of the State.

Any works to be perform outside normal working hours must get


consent and approval from the S.O.

13.00 WORKING HOURS (Cont'd)

The Contractor shall pay due regards to business activities of the


Employer which shall be in operation as usual to other floor levels and
presence of customer and public / at close proximity to the project site
and he shall take these into consideration while performing work which
may be cause of public safety and disturbance.

14.00 TEMPORARY BUILDINGS

15.00 WORKS PROGRAMME

The Contractor shall within forteen (14) days after the receipt of the
letter of acceptance of tender to provide and update the Works
Programme using Master Programme to produce Critical Path Method
(CPM) and Works Breakdown Structure (WBS) etc., as specified by the

16.00 PROJECT SIGNBOARD

The Contractor shall provide, erect, paint and maintain a Project


Signboard to the instructed or firected by the S.O and obtain all
necessary licences, approval, permits and to pay all fees charges
imposed by the Authorities all in.

17.00 QUALITY ASSURANCE PLAN

The Contractor shall propose for the S.O's approval a system for
quality control (quality and inspection plan) to be applied throughout the
works and shall include all contractor's proposal as per specification.

18.00 PERFORMANCE BOND

Prior to the commencement of any works under the Contract and on


before the day he execute the formal Contract Agreement, the
Contractor will be required to deposit with the Employer the cash
amount or an approved Banker's Guarantee/Insurance Guarantee
(sample as per Appendix I) from an approved Bank/ Insurance
Company for a sum equivalent to 5% (five percent) of the Contract
Sum and the tenderer is to allow for complying with this requirement.
Alternatively, the Employer is entitled to retain a sum equivalent to 5%
of Contract Sum (" Retention Sum") until the end of Defect Liability
Period. Deduction shall be made to each progress payment made.

19.00 STAMP DUTY

The Contractor shall solely bare all matters in regards to their stamp
duty as currently being imposed by the Government and shall comply
with the Government Act - Section 80(2), Stamp Act 1949 including any
legal cost and other fees in preparation and execution of the contract
and anything incidental thereto.

20.00 CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT BOARD (CIDB)


MALAYSIA 1994 (ACT 520)

The Contractor shall be responsible for all matters with regards to their
registration with the CIDB including obtaining the necessary permit
and/or licenses. The Contractor shall comply to Part VIII of the CIDB
Malaysia Act 1994 and the Construction Industry (Levy Collection)
Regulations 1996, and shall submit a notification on Form CIDB L1/96
to the Letter of Acceptance/ Letter of Award. By virtue of the Act the
Contractor shall have priced in the Preliminaries the levy to be incurred
at the rate of 0.125% of the Contract Sum. Claims for extra by virtue
of this Act shall not be entertained.

GENERAL NOTES
A The Contractor shall be held to have visited the site, inspected Item
the existing conditions and ascertained the extent and nature of
the works to be carried out. No claims for extra payment in this
respect will be entertained.

B All underground services pipes and cables uncovered during Item


the excavation for grubbing out of the structures shall be cut off
to the extent of the excavations and removed.

C Prior to commencement of works, the Contractor shall liase Item


with the S.O. to arrange that all services have been
disconnected.

D The Contarctor is to take precaution that earthfilling is to Item


commence only on a specific approval of the S.O. when the site
is completely cleared of all rubbish, shrubs, bushes, tree roots,
old foundation, debris, etc, as described.

E The measurement of excavation shall be the nett volume of the Item


voids formed by the removal of the materials excavated as
required and shown on drawings.

F The measurement of fill and compaction shall be the nett Item


content of the embankment and other areas of fill formed to the
cross-sections measured from existing ground level or the level
of sub-soil following the removal of topsoil or such lower level
formed by excavation directed by the S.O.

G The measurement of imported earthfilling is the nett volume of Item


compacted fill formed measured in accordance with the
paragraph before less the nett volume of the suitable materials
excavated from within the site and other stated type of imported
fill. The Contractor shall allow in his rate for the increase in bulk
after excavation and decrease in shrinkage after filling and
compacting or due to settlement, erosion and tolerence.

H The Contractor shall verify the dimensions and levels of the Item
existing ground as shown on the drawings before
commencement of works. Any discrepency which may affect
the works shall be notified to the S.O. Failing such verification
and agreements, the dimension and levels shown on drawings
or as otherwise determined by the S.O. shall be final and
binding on the Contractor.

I Before imported earth to make uplevels, if any, the S.O. shall Item
be informed so that checks can be enforced to determine the
amount of filling. The Contractor shall not be paid for any filling
brought in without approval.

J Allow for providing any temporary works whether or not Item


specifically shown in the drawings or stated or indicated in the
contract documents and keep them in working order, maintain
same throughout the duration of the contract and remove on
completion of all to the S.O.'s satisfaction.

Site Clearance

A Clear the site within the boundary requiting cutting down all m2 2,129

natural artifical material,objects and obstruction which are
above and below the original ground surfaces. Strip off 200mm
average deep of vegetable top soil (suitable material may be
utilised for turfing whenever necessary). Clearing up, cleaning

said work operation and remove all to contractor's own

Earthworks
