ICT: Better than Before

Learning and exploring the ICT field has helped us use the wonders and turn them into wonders
the human mind could not even imagine. Not only can we enhance our skills and knowledge in
this particular area, but we can also bring change and start movements that make others in our
environment aware and mindful. The use of ICT has changed the game to be quite honest. It
allows us to post, create, and share content such as social media posts that the public can
digest and that will help us express my ideals and aspirations for the change I want to see in
society. Using ICT not only helps us to discover but also helps us become a better citizen of
society by giving voice to the minorities and role models in this community.

Thanks to ICT, I was able to create blogs, infographics, posters, messages and other visual arts
that grab people's attention, which can make them share and participate by becoming one with
the movement. I also feel that I have been able to stand up for what I think is right and have
been able to share my opinions and thoughts with most people because ICT is a safe place to
publicize these things. A global platform per se, where we can access everything from
anywhere, anytime. ICT has had and will always have a positive impact on me as a student and
as an advocate for change. Multiple sources and references can now be included in our
research paper/s because it is an open platform where I can visit places related to our particular
study. As an advocate for change, I have been able to share my voice and ideas with others,
what I believe in and this has become even more powerful as I have been able to reach more
people through this platform. Then I can easily connect, identify, and easily express my
thoughts through communication.

This is a sample output I made and posted on Facebook to inform people what are the rights
and responsibilities of the elderly. Just with a spark of creativity and knowledge, a lot can
already be said. It never fails to catch the attention of the people.

Before the start of ICT in this context, people could receive their messages for more than a
week, manually access information from libraries or books, and they could only communicate in
a limited way. But in these modern times we can call anyone when we want and where we want.
Heck, we are even able to see their face during the call with the use of our electronic devices.
Information and knowledge can be easily found on the Internet with just one click, and we can
do these things whenever we want. It just shows that our means of communication and
technology has evolved from the past to the present day.

ICT is a very pleasant and accessible platform to share with others, but we must also consider
that it comes with responsibility. We must use IT for the common good. We should not be selfish
and always consider other people's feelings and the impact it can result when we create a post
on social media. ICT is a breakthrough that we have discovered and has given us the
opportunity to have a better life than before.
