    The purpose of this case study is to evaluate the flexibility of the pavements conditions to identify the
    causes of the failures in the pavements. For the investigation, a 20-kilometer stretch of the Doda-
    Bhaderwah road (NH-1B) was used. A survey was conducted, and the causes of cracking and other
    pavement defects were investigated. For each type of failure, the needed maintenance solution was
    found, and the optimum maintenance alternative was chosen. Surface deformation, crack
    disintegration, and surface flaws account for the majority of pavement problems and failures.
