PROJECT PROPOSAL

Project: Post-Election Community Clean Up Drive


Place: Brgy. Balibago and Brgy. Mining, Angeles City, Pampanga Target Date: May 13-14, 2022
Type of Service: Service to Community Quadrant:

Situation:
During the months of January up until the 7th of May 2022, two days prior to the halt of
campaigning and election day, campaigning posters were posted up to promote the candidates for their
election. Therefore, it has been posted on almost every wall in the city wherein it won’t be used
anymore.

Thus, the Senior Scouts of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines – Angeles City Council would like to
conduct the “Clean Up Drive of Campaign Posters” to clean up the existing campaign posters posted up
since they will not be in use anymore. Moreover, this is to comply with the existing National Office
Memorandum No. 30 Series 2022 as seen attached on the last page:

Objectives:
This Project is designed to help the local government clean up the aftermath of the recent election in
the city. We aim to:
• Assist the community by eliminating waste left after the recent election.
• Apply and promote one of the points of Scout Law “A Scout is Clean” and “A Scout is Helpful”.
• Continually promote the scouting movement on the local grounds of the city.
• Target at least 5 (Five) Communities for the Clean-Up Drive.

Situation:
The National Office of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines have released a National Memorandum
Number 30 Series of 2022 with the subject entitled, “Post-Election Community Clean Up Drive”. The Boy
Scouts of the Philippines Angeles City Council Senior and Rover Scouts went to the community villages to
help clean the surrounding which has been littered with various campaign materials like posters,
pamphlets, and other campaign paraphernalia that became an eye sore for everyone.

In line with this, the Rover Scouts of Angeles City want to extend their help to the community
villages by cleaning the litter and removing campaign materials made during the Election, on which
cleaning the surrounding will help the community free from unnecessary materials that became an eye
sore for everyone.

Value to the beneficiaries:


The community villages where the Senior and Rover Scouts help to clean the environment able to
lessen the campaign material litters made by during the election. It has created the environment free
from eyesore and continually assist the community by eliminating waste left after the recent election.

Impact on the Rover Scouts:

The rover scouts have learned to show the solicitude to the environment in different community
villages in Angeles City by helping the local government to clean up the aftermath of the recent election.
It depicts that the rover scouts promote one of the points of Scout law: "A Scout is Clean” and " A Scout
is Helpful.” In addition, the activity makes the rover scouts more recognizable that there is another
advancement program for the adults, especially in continuation after the Senior Scouting program.

Service Summary:

Clean up Drive aftermath the election was held on May 13-14, 2022 at Brgy. Balibago and Brgy.
Mining with the coordination of the two barangay captains namely Brgy. Captain Tony Mamac in Brgy.
Balibago and Brgy. Captain Chris Cortez in Brgy. Mining and the Rover Circle 02. The rover scouts has help
to clean the community by removing campaign materials on the community village and streets which
become eye sore for everyone. Some of these are the posters posted on the wall, electrical post and some
are hanged on other houses and establishment.

With the help of the rover scouts, the community village has become clean and eliminate the
waste of the aftermath of the election. Moreover, they were able to clean and eliminate the litters and
waste aftermath of the election on the streets and surroundings of the community villages.

We, the rover scouts have learned the importance of eliminating the post-election waste in the
community villages which helped the community become free from eyesore and achieve a healthy
environment. The rover scouts had improved their camaraderie, perseverance, and being consistent on
helping other people and community through this Post-election Community Clean up drive.
