PUMP SPECIFICATION
Rotation: Clockwise.
Governor type: Mechanical two speed.
Gov. Link Length: 41.5 ± 0.5 mm.
Plunger Diameter: 7,0 mm.
Drive Type: 17 mm dia. taper drive with supported shaft.
Advance Type: Automatic speed.
Transfer pressure adjuster in end plate.
Solenoid shut-off device, 12 volts.
Delivery valves in H.P outlet connections.
Scroll plate max. fuel adjustment, mechanical excess fuel device.
Notched timing disc on drive shaft.
Automatic high pressure venting system.

ISO TEST CONDITIONS.


This data is only valid for the test conditions specified and the
following test benches: HA3000/HA2500/HA1150/HA1100MkII/HA875
HA700/HA400/AVM/PGM
Test Fluid: ISO 4113 at 40 ± 2°C.
Inlet feed pressure: 0.1 bar
Nozzles: ISO 4010.
Nozzle Opening Pressure: 125 + 3 - 0 bar.
H.P. pipes: 6 x 2 x 600 mm (ISO 4093.1).

PRE-TEST NOTES
Deliveries in cm3 are over 500 strokes, unless stated otherwise.
Screw transfer pressure adjuster fully out and then 1.5 turns
in before commencing test.
Fit auto-advance gauge and set to zero.
A 2.0mm shim is fitted to the piston spring cap on assembly.
This must NOT be removed.
No additional shimming is required.
Latch valve adjuster to have one thread above surface of lock.
Turn vernier plate fully anti-clockwise.
SETTING OF MECHANICAL EXCESS FUEL MECHANISM.
Should the excess fuel mechanism require re-setting, the
following procedure should be used:
1 ) Screw anti-stall screw head out to 70 mm from front mounting
face of pump housing.
2 ) Put 0.5 mm spacer between anti-stall screw & throttle lever.
3 ) Throttle lever against anti-stall screw, excess fuel spindle
fully clockwise. Slide the excess fuel stud to take up the slack
in linkage spring. DO NOT TENSION SPRING. Tighten locknut.
4 ) Remove the 0,5 spacer.

ISO TEST PROCEDURE


Test Operation S/C RPM Requirements
1. Priming (C) 200 Obtain delivery from all injectors
and backleak.
2. Stabilisation, S/C* 2000 37.7 ± 1.0 mm3/st
initial setting Run pump for 3 minutes to stabilise.
3. Transfer Press. (C) 100 Minimum 0.55 bar, ( 8 psi).
4. Advance (C) 100 0 to 0.5°, ( 0 to 0.4m).
5. Advance (S) 1300 4.0° ( 3.2mm) Adjust TP.
6. Transfer Press. (C) 1300 3.8 to 4.8 bar( 56 to 70psi)
7. Backleakage (C) 1500 10 to 50 cm3 per 100 strokes.
Flow rate 150 to 750 cm3/min.
8. Advance (C) 2000 7 to 7.50°, ( 5.6 to 6.0m).
9. Max. Delivery (S)* 2000 37.7 ± 0.4 mm3/st.
Max. spread 4.0 mm3/st.
Move throttle lever to closed position.
10. Vernier plate (S) 600 (Use 2000 strokes,ie 4 x 500 strokes)
Slacken throttle shaft locknut
(0.5 turn max.). Turn vernier plate
clockwise to give 4.5 to 5.5cm3. Lock
locknut & screw before taking reading
11. Delivery (C) 2000 Record delivery cm3.
12. Governor (S) 2300 7.5 to 8.0 cm3.

Test Operation S/C RPM Requirements
13. Delivery (C) 2460 Maximum 3.0 cm3.
14. Delivery (C) 2000 Throttle set as at (12),
Minimum as test (11) - 0.5cm3.
Run test machine down to 200 rpm and stop.
15. Throttle ball (S) 0 Set throttle ball to give 26 - 42 mm
of movement between anti-stall stop
and maximum speed stop.
Remove pressure gauges and fit stop solenoid or plug.
Prime as at test (1).
16. Delivery (C) 2000 As test (14) ± 1.0 cm3.
Stop test machine, remove advance pressure end plug, fit
an advance test plug from 7244-435 series, and connect to
pressure HT31)
gauge
using a
suitable
fuel
connection
(eg:
Move throttle lever to closed position.
Run test machine at 600 rpm before next test.
17. Idle delivery (S) 335 5.0 to 5.5 cm3. Throttle closed.
18. Latch valve (S) 180 Screw latch valve adjuster fully in.
Pressure gauge at zero. Adjust latch
valve until pointer starts to rise.
19. Excess fuel (C) 110 Minimum 13.5 cm3 (Use 300 strokes).
Pressure gauge pointer to be at zero.
20. Latch out (C) 210 Pressure gauge pointer to have risen.
21. Shut-off - (C) 250 De-energise solenoid, wait 5 seconds.
Solenoid Max. 1.25 cm3.
Remove test plug and re-fit pressure end plug.
22. Timing S/C Outlet 'V ', Pressure 55 bar
Offset 46degrees, in the normal
direction of pump rotation.

FUEL AND SPEED SETTING AND VARIATIONS IN ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
