PRE-TEST NOTES
Deliveries in cm3 are over 500 strokes, unless stated otherwise.
Connect cambox pressure gauge to vent screw.
Max fuel screw to protrude 10.5 mm above surface of locknut.
Screw transfer pressure adjuster fully out and then 3.5 turns
in before commencing test.
Latch valve adjuster to have one thread above surface of lock.
Turn vernier plate fully anti-clockwise.
Adjust manual idle advance locknut and adjuster nut to obtain
18.0 to 18.5 mm between spring plunger and spring end cap face.
Adjust manual idle advance linkage, with lever in retard position
leaving 0.5 to 1.0 mm gap between spindle pin & connecting lever.
Outer face of idle stop to housing flange to be 13.0 mm minimum.
A 0.75mm shim is fitted to the piston spring cap on assembly.
This must NOT be removed.
SETTING OF MECHANICAL EXCESS FUEL MECHANISM.
a ) With the throttle lever against the bracket, screw out the
anti-stall screw until it abuts the lever, then out a further
1.5 turns.
b ) Put 1.5 mm spacer between anti-stall screw & throttle lever.
c ) Throttle lever against anti-stall screw, excess fuel spindle
fully clockwise. Slide the excess fuel stud to take up the slack
in linkage spring. DO NOT TENSION SPRING. Tighten locknut.
d ) Remove the 1,5 spacer.

ISO TEST PROCEDURE

Test Operation S/C RPM Requirements
1. Priming (C) 200 Obtain delivery from all injectors
and backleak.
2. Stabilisation (C) 1900 Run pump for 3 minutes to stabilise.
3. Transfer Press. (C) 100 Minimum 0.7 bar, ( 10 psi).
4. Advance (S) 1000 Set TP 4.1 to 4.8 bar( 60 to 70
psi). Advance 2.5°( 2.0mm).
Delivery 21.0 to 24.0 cm3.
Operate MIA lever to check for leaks.
5. Transfer Press. (C) 1900 5.6 to 6.3 bar( 82 to 92psi)
6. Cambox Press. (C) 1900 0.8 to 1.0 bar ( 11 to 15 psi).
Move throttle lever to closed position.
7. Vernier plate (S) 1000 (Use 2000 strokes,ie 4 x 500 strokes)
Slacken throttle shaft locknut
(0.5 turn max.). Turn vernier plate
clockwise to give 3.6-4.4 cm3. Lock
