Sterile process connections

Application Phase 1 - sterilisation
Use Stäubli CBC 03 flat-face, non-spill quick-release sterilisation
couplings to make sterile process connections and
disconnections.

 Phase 1
To sterilise before opening the circuit.

A sealed enclosure is created allowing the connection
area to be sterilised.
Phase 2 - open circuit
 Phase 2
To connect and open the circuit aseptically.

To close and decontaminate before disconnection.

Safe operation

Through a two-position sequential lock: Phase 3 - decontamination

-position 1: for sterilisation or decontamination decontamination
-position 2: main circuit open

A mechanical interlock means that position 1 for main circuit closed

sterilisation is compulsory before opening the main
circuit.
Similarly, the coupling cannot be disconnected directly

without passing through position 1 for decontamination.

Positions 1 "sterilization" and 2 "connected" are clearly condensates

identified on the plug.
