INTRODUCTION
In our life today, the computer is one of many inventions that greatly affect our way of
living. In fact, it is noted as an essential tool in many areas including business, government,
industry, sciences, education, school, home, and in almost any company and establishment that
existed. It can perform process data rapidly, accurately and reliable and by using these
machines, spending a lot of time and effort in doing a certain task is minimized.
Computer nowadays has become the most needs of data and information processing.
Computers have been very effective in many fields of work and study. It certainly helps man
to make his task much easier and with great precision. In schools and universities, computers
are used to maintain the basic flow of data and information and checking the credit status of
the students. The computer is very useful in performing a great task in data and information
processing, securing files, data, and information of the schools and people belong to it.
Computer programmers now a day try to build and develop high-quality systems that are very
useful. A computerized management system maintains the standard flow of data and
information with highly secured and make data processing faster and easier. These
computerized systems help one person, company, organization or any type of management
agency throughout the world to enhance and develop its general profile.

.SCOPE AND OBJECTIVE
SCOPE:
The scope of the project is the system on which the software is installed, i.e. the project
is developed as a desktop application, and it will work for a particular company. But later on
the project can be modified to operate it online.
Attendance management system keeps track of daily attendance, working hours,
breaks, login, and logout time. It prevents staff's time theft. An attendance management system
integrates all attendance devices such as smart cards, biometric, and facial recognition devices
in real-time.
OBJECTIVE:
The objective of this study (Attendance Monitoring System Thesis Chapter 1) is to
give a solution to the problem in the existing system and to create a system that will help the
school to make the attendance monitoring more accurate and to prove that the system
developed is effective and helpful. This study is generally to monitor the students and teachers;
attendance and to evaluate performance, according to their attendance. Specifically, this will
answer the following objectives;

ADVATAGES AND DISADVANTAGES
ADVANTAGES:
➢ No fuss in workflow management.
➢ Paperless work environment.
➢ Real-time tracking.
➢ Reliable data.
➢ enhancing productivity.
➢ Maintain company culture.
➢ Personalized and flexible.
➢ Cost effective.
➢ easy access to reports.
➢ easy integration.
DISADVANTAGES:
➢ Not effective in monitoring buddy punching.
➢ Increased equipment expense.
➢ Difficult to maintain and repair.
➢ System is ineffective if there is no power supply.

❖ USE CASE DIAGRAM:
The general use case is the most general application of a use case
diagram. The use case diagrams depict the system’s main components as well
as the flow of information between them.
With the help of this general use case, the programmer will have the basis
on what could be put into consideration in creating the employee management
system. It also serves as the basis for more specific processes in the employee
attendance management syst em.

• Monitor and Manage Employees’ Information and Status :–
This is where the admin of the system could manage and monitor their
employee’s Attendance and status. In this process, they were able to assign the
field of work of their employee as well monitor their outputs and range of
service.

❖ Manage Working Hours and Days : –
This is the process where the admin can automatically have a record of the
working days and hours because the system will generate and count the hours
and days of work depending on the calendar. The admin can also customize it
if they like to put any special day or set a holiday into a working holiday.
