THE IMPACT OF COVID-19 PANDEMIC ON STUDENTS

As we are facing the latest variant in our country, I still recall my experienced during covid-19
pandemic. Where a lot of news and articles were reported that the covid-19 are destroying our mental
health. That the covid-19 pandemic is causing widespread concern, fear, stress, depression, anxiety, and
so on. As a student, what I experienced during the covid-19 pandemic was a big impact for me
especially to my mental health. It was a stress for me during that time especially the president stated
that there will be lockdown. Imagining that there will be lockdown already gave me stress because I
can’t go out of the house or even see my friends and collages. As the pandemic go on the school year
enters were a lot of students experience depression, anxiety, PSTD, and many more. Maybe to others is
okay for them the situation of having an online class or having a modular, instead going to school but for
me it was hard for me to adjust and so to others students. It was hard for me to catch up every lesson
and to get a good grade. During those time I’ve experienced having an anxiety and it was so hard for me
to handle especially every time something will triggered it. So far, I’m currently doing my best to handle
this anxiety of mine.

As our country prepares to face the latest variant of virus, I recall my experience during the
COVID-19 pandemic. COVID-19 is said to be harming our mental health in a number of news and articles.
The COVID-19 epidemic is creating widespread fear, tension, depression, anxiety, and other negative
emotions. What I went through as a student during the COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on
me, particularly in terms of my mental health. It was tense for me at the time, especially when the
president declared a state of emergency. I was already stressed by the prospect of a lockdown because I
wouldn't be able to leave the house or even visit my friends and colleagues. As the pandemic continues,
the school year begins, and many students suffer from depression, anxiety, PSTD, and other mental
illnesses. Maybe having an online class or taking a module instead of attending school is fine for some
people, but it was difficult for me to adjust, and I'm sure it is for other kids. It was difficult for me to
catch up on all of my classes and maintain a good grade. During those times, I suffered from anxiety,
which was quite difficult for me to manage, especially when something provoked it. So far, I've been
doing my best to deal with this anxiousness.
